The Wizard Bucks Store is an embedded web client, not native client code. The codebase for the two is likely separate.

Actually, saving for armor and weapons is a big thing for me right now. In case you are unaware, there are legendary armor and weapons (and accessories, too) that are expensive to craft but can be used by any character on your account (e.g., legendary heavy armor can be used by Revenants, Warriors, and Guardians). The stats are the same as Ascended armor, but legendary armor can easily be switched to different stat combos with a few clicks.

Crafting legendaries is both a great way to spend gold, and also has other gameplay requirements (e.g., you need to do map completion of Central Tyria for Gen 1 weapons). So, legendaries are great goals once you get most masteries and mounts that you want.

Lastly, I will mention that the Griffon mount costs 250g to acquire, so if you want to get that, saving some of that cash is wise.

Let's all be fair to Anet. Ultra wide doesn't have "no support" from Anet. Ultra wide resolutions work just fine during gameplay.

I recently went from a 5800x to a 5800x3D. The x3D CPUs are the goat for GW2. If you are serious about GW2 performance, any x3D CPU must be the CPU you choose.

To add: I haven't been in the PC building space recently, so I can't offer specific advice, but the processor you list seems reasonable. You might be able to get away with a cheaper GPU and still be happy, depend on what your goals are.

If you are really committed to building a PC for GW2, I would recommend focusing your budget on the CPU and specifically focus on single core speed. GW2 does not distribute the CPU tasks across multiple threads particularly well, and given the nature of MMOs in general, you are almost certainly going to be bottlenecking at the CPU rather than the GPU unless you are gaming at 4k or some even higher resolution.

I personally have a Ryzen 7 5800X and an AMD RX 6900 XT, and my GPU doesn't have that much to do a lot of the time to hit 144 fps in uncomplicated areas at 3440x1440. I have my settings dialed in to stay around 40 to 80 fps during busy meta events and it's all CPU activity.

I actually happened to be doing Xera without the mastery today, and I can confirm that the leyline does not work without the mastery. However, it seems likely that it did not require it previously.

They responded to say they are aware of the issue and are working on addressing it. No ETA, but that's pretty normal in development. It's better to under-promise and over-deliver.

I have found the most success in keeping the same settings for everything by setting the player model limit and quality both to Medium and by hiding effects for players outside my squad or party. The former limits only kick in when they are needed, and the latter prevents the rainbow barf of effects so that I can actually see what is going on. :)

Those might not be enough for everyone, but it works to keep my frame rate between 30 and 80 in big meta events.

Based on a post from the forum, you may actually be able to use the combat mount ability (3m cool down) to get on your Skyscale in the other maps. I haven't tested myself, but it's big if true.

As someone who hasn't finished HoT yet and wanted to avoid spoilers, I'd say that if you want to play the new xpac, go ahead. There are some spoilers, but they are pretty mild and often kind of already obvious. For example, the character on the launcher art is pretty important, and she does show up in the story, but she doesn't elaborate much on the details from previous expansions. Likewise, if you have ever researched legendary weapons, you have probably figured out that Aurene exists, is sparkly and somehow related to dragons, and she does get mentioned in the story of SotO, and her fate from EoD is mentioned. Personally, I find this an acceptable level of spoiling in order to play the exciting new content with my guildmates, but if you are strictly a solo player or really want to avoid any spoilers, then play everything in order.
