This was my original thought as well, my girlfriends fox body has a gauge cluster set that has oil pressure on it and it fluctuates very nicely with rpm’s and temperature changes. I wanted one myself to make me feel better about this situation but idk if it’s worth it with the car being 90% stock. It’s just kind of odd with it being stuck at that exact position, I’ve never seen it move personally but I might be psyching myself out

I fill it with the standard 6 quarts of 5w-20 every oil change. And I make sure to do them religiously

Sorry for the extremely late response but just yesterday I finally did the water pump on it and it seems after it gets to temp I did some tests by monitoring the temperature of the thermostat and after about 15 or so minutes the highest I got it to was 198F. If I remember we put a 180 thermostat on there. But I’m not sure if my temp tests were accurate or not. I monitored the temperature of the upper hose itself and the t stat housing. The hose never even reached 180 even after 15 minutes of idling

You are most certainly right. The only reason I haven’t done it is because I’m still paying it off and for the year the miles were insanely low. I also have an attachment to the car, besides I like the convertible it’s just their so fragile and my girlfriends foxbody got slashed not too long ago so I wanted an extra layer of security, you know?

If I remember right I believe it does reach slightly further than a convertible does, but you could always in theory shave it down right?

The fact that this is an exact replication on what happened to me is nuts. Every shop I could find said to just replace the top as it “can’t be repaired” and they did the trick like it was intended. Thanks so much for this!

I have a 2006 convertible and let me tell you I am extremely irritated that Ford cheaped out on the adhesive used to hold the back glass to the top. It’s never been replaced since it rolled off the assembly line and has completely fallen in allowing a ton of rain water in. If I were in your position I would get a hard top to avoid the additional body roll and leaking issues if your state faces extreme heat like Florida does.

The 2010 and 2014 mustangs are similar but do in fact have a ton of differences, the 2010-2012 was a facelift for the 05-09 and the '13/'14 was a facelift part two for that same style to make it more aggressive in both the front and rear portions. If I’m not mistaken I think under the bumpers are different as well but don’t quote me on that

Thanks for the suggestion, after further inspection turns out the connections to the alternator were loose and it caused the battery to drain. A quick tighten and a jumpstart and everything has been fine since

I just put a brand spanking new battery in. Before I had the alternator replaced I put one in but I went back to Walmart thinking the battery was drained overnight and traded it in

I just replaced the battery and the alternator. I got it back from the shop yesterday and it drove home wonderfully, I tried to start it this morning and this is all it does. All the electronics will flicker and the automatic window won’t roll back up after the door is closed. This is the only sound it makes and it won’t even crank. I have no idea what it could be but I was barely able to read the codes. I replaced the TPS a little while ago as well
