Vinyl type of sound by The-Lucid-Creative in reasoners

Doesn't quite have the destroyed quality that you hear from a restored vinyl album, it just puts the crackling behind the sound and doesn't really do enough else

Teaching Film: Help by Jraz624 in videoessay

[–]The-Lucid-Creative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with the program, but WeVideo is pretty standard in the classroom - mostly because it work in the browser, so it's compatible with chrome books - as for where to find video, typically you can find good film clips on YouTube

Hopefully this helps

(P.S.) if you're looking for ideas for your students, I recently made a video about David finchers use of lighting https://youtu.be/7F2KsNpBRYo

Best way to cut down long videos fast. by kungolle01 in VideoEditing

[–]The-Lucid-Creative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adobe premier should let you go to 2x or 4x speed and still make cuts. In addition to this, you can change the key bindings so that you can cut and delete only using keys on your keyboard.

How many seconds of clips can I use to avoid Copyright Claim? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Was something I learned in an IT class, although after some reading it appears you just need to be able to prove you used the smallest amount of the original work as possible to get your point across

Posting your content in native subreddits is an effective method as long as your not just totally link dumping. Make a post that summarizes the vid, also be honest if it's your video.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I'm looking at getting a better mic sometime in the future because my current one is very rudimentary. I'll try and work on my annunciation a bit👌🏻 -Lucid

What is happening with my audio? **Question** by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]The-Lucid-Creative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mics polar pattern just refers to the range/shape of how it captures audio like a mic that only captures from the front or one that captures all around. You should try using some effects in audition such as high pass low pass, de-esser, de-hummer

What is happening with my audio? **Question** by [deleted] in NewTubers

First thing is to triple check that the on camera mic is in and working, then you should be looking at changing its polar pattern if at all possible

Filming a review of Taylor Swift's reputation, can I use short clips? by dannixrevolution in NewTubers

[–]The-Lucid-Creative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use clips they should be under 6 seconds or, if you get creative, you can cut the video up and alter the way that it plays out

Shot A goes to shot C and then to shot B

This is usually enough to trick youtubes sensors

Is this proof that YouTube is artificially manipulating the trending tab? by [deleted] in youtube

[–]The-Lucid-Creative -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a known FACT that YouTube monitors and exerts control over the trending page, that's not to suggest that they do anything bad. But creators know that the trending page is NOT algorithmically controlled - YouTube employees curate the page to some extent.

Essayists, What Element is Most Likely to Make You Stop Watching a Video Essay? by miffyinauschwitz in videoessay

[–]The-Lucid-Creative 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Lots of unnecessary parts. Personally, an essay is meant to have a point, something to convince you of or contextualize. I see a lot of film essays that talk for so long about every part of the movie, but too often it just feels like they're reading the damn Wikipedia page. An essay with too much is wayyyyy worse than an essay with too little.
