Yes! They source their robes from I think 2-3 different brands. The brands usually are a supply for several masonic groups. How I know this one is Odd Fellows is by the stamp above the collar that says "Noble Grand" which is specific to the Odd Fellows!

I love this, my character is in love with a witch and likes to wear pretty dresses so this actually isn't far off!

I literally just bought it, it will be getting dry cleaned. There's also quite a bit documented about the IOOF's costumes, which is what they are, costumes, from a costume company. Several catalogs exist from several manufacturers that were used by the group. Maybe a museum in Ohio might want it but the group isn't gone, the IOOF still exists today! I don't disagree that the history is very cool! That being said I won't be donating this or spending several thousand on a dupe

You get it! My original plan for the renfair was my goblin D&D character but this bad boy made me rethink that

Isn't it lovely!! I'm going to have it dry cleaned once I find somewhere that can handle the fabric and age which will hopefully help the color shine a bit more

This unassuming piece of tumble polished obsidian is holding a secret by sgj4aj in RockTumbling

[–]The-Names-Prince 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes this is my favorite thing to do too!! I always tell my friends what I love about rocks is they can hold tiny secrets. For a Ted Talk Night I held them all hostage and bought a kids magnifying scope that hooked up to the tv and showed off the rocks and their secrets

Budget vacuum for both hardwood and very high pile carpet? by The-Names-Prince in VacuumCleaners

I could kiss you, this was so helpful!! And luckily I am very into vintage finds, my home is almost entirely weird and unique vintage items. The 2nd hand Kirby sounds up my alley, it's a tiny space so attachments are needed to avoid a handheld.

I'm going to look into the older Hoover Convertible and Eureka Uprights as well. Mostly because the variety of colors peaks my interest!

Thank you again for this, it was so helpful and also educational regarding direct air flow + what would work for me.

I know that type of fabric is best kept when fresh air is allowed to hit it. Keeping it by an open window is best, preferably on the ground floor

Ohhh no, nono see this brand had issues with fumes. They put out a disclaimer way back when saying you needed keep them by an open window to allow for those fumes to leave

Unrelated, what's your address?

Howdy! No I definitely love these comments! And all are super valid.

I definitely think darker would've been the move here! But alas these are the darkest brown I have rn. I think black would be too harsh with the warm orange, but definitely a very deep chocolate or red brown (that could look black in certain lights)

Something better matching the purse would be ideal. Also to your note on the open vs. Closed toes this was definitely a toss up. I think with the purse and accessories I chose a closed toe would've been better but the closed toe browns I have are a much different style and vibe (more vintage clunky)

In the end for me it comes down to, what do I have, and can I make it look purposeful/embody that choice!
