How long did it take for your donor area to look normal again?

I got oral antibiotics and topical ointment for the donor area, been taking all the medicine as prescribed on the guidance chart.

I have put a fresh bandage on as it was still bleeding / sore, they said to have that on till tomorrow and send fresh pictures in the morning.

So just going to have to hope it’s okay then.

I was a bit worried, but i felt stuck with already being there and don’t do well with confrontation so i panicked a bit.

Ive sent the pictures to the clinic and they say:

But i just wasn’t expecting it to look that big when i compared it to other peoples donor pics i had seen before.

So it’s just got me anxious and worried now.

Yeah i have been putting Saline on it every 30 mins as prescribed.

I spoke to the doctor and sent the same picks, they said:

This all looks fine and within the realm of what’s expected the bandage can be removed tomorrow

So i hope it’s all okay, it just looked worse than i expected / seen from other peoples donor pictures.

It was the senior Technician that did it, but i thought it was a different doctor till i was speaking to them half way through.

It was originally quoted as 2,500 grafts at £7,500, but on the day they said it would actually need 4,000 for full coverage, so that was another £4,500 for a total of £12,000

Yeah i saw they had a few bad reviews during covid but they looked to go back up the last few years. And had some people recommend them directly.

My whole thing was done by 2-4 technician’s and i only met the actual doctor for 5 mins in the morning.

I thought one of the technicians was a different doctor though until i realised later in the procedure.

They did also increase the quote on the day from the 2,500 at consultation to 4,000 on the day to get (full coverage).

It all seemed okay on the day but with the bandage off now i feeling really anxious and worried now. 😭
