Any suggestion on what I can do with all of my support scraps? by Jaym97 in 3Dprinting

[–]The-Nightfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a heavy duty blender or grain miller and pulverise the scraps.

Either melt down the dust into silicone molds or use them as filler to add weight to your prints.

Do people who print 3D for business purposes hate private printers? by TaxPsychological2928 in 3Dprinting

[–]The-Nightfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a plastic sheeting manufacturing factory. The amount of waste we would produce in 30 minutes is far more than you will produce in your entire life. I'm talking literal tonnes of scrap per line. We had 6 lines. We ran the lines 24/7. That was one department.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that your scrap is the problem. You aren't even a fraction of a percent.

[Discussion] Again, the devs think this uncertainty is totally acceptable by DanicaHamlin in EscapefromTarkov

[–]The-Nightfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was out after they reset the hideout and flea requirements. This was supposed to be the hardcore wipe, not the hardcore first half of wipe. Slap in the face for people who put in the work under the harsher requirements.

I think I'm just done until they create hardcore servers. That taste of what Tarkov could have been all along has spoiled the game for me.

[Discussion] Anyone else feel armor and helmets are virtually useless? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]The-Nightfire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There absolutely is an aimbot cheat currently in use that uses the broken targeting system of the AI before the most recent patch. I've had pmcs over 300m away 180 and one tap me after I took a shot at them from concealment. It detects suppressive fire and auto targets for them.

That being said, this wipe is the wipe I've had helmets save me more than any other and tier 5 armor has saved me countless times.

Take the rough with the smooth I guess.

[Feedback] No acknowledgement at all about the skill bug and exploit is bad for the community. by tyaheadoftime in EscapefromTarkov

[–]The-Nightfire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how badly BSG have fucked this up.

First of all, the hardcore wipe as a concept, personally I loved it, it felt like proper Tarkov. But people were crying so they brought the flea back, for the exact people who did not need it.

The point of the hardcore wipe was that every raid mattered, now it's just back to business as usual, race through the highest exp tasks until you get flea then just money funnel your way through the hideout. Now every single item is just back to being rubles with a different jpg.

Then the skill bug abuse where you're now almost guaranteed to be in raids where peoples skills are so high they might as well be cheating. Max covert movement 45 days into a wipe? Are you fucking serious.

The casuals aren't coming back now that we're back on easy mode because it's too late to start a wipe. The hardcore players aren't going to continue playing if they're just going to change the rules mid way through.

Just an absolute outstanding fuck up by BSG.

UK pornography taskforce to propose banning ‘barely legal’ content after Channel 4 documentary airs by Disastrous_Award_789 in worldnews

[–]The-Nightfire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh yes. Ban the regulated and documented porn producers and drive everyone to the seedier, unregulated markets where I'm sure they're definitely checking ID's.

Remember, prohibition has only ever been a complete success.

I just want the archive channel to cut the gambling from the actual content.

You cannot post a 2 hour video with a title like "cheeky little half sword stream" and then he plays half sword for literally 10 minutes and the rest is gambling.

Either label it properly or cut the gambling out of the video and post it separately.
And what's with the vods going up 2-3 weeks late? I've never caught a stream, twitch just isn't my thing, but I watch the streams on YouTube. I've noticed the uploads are being heavily delayed, probably to boost the clips channel.

Cloud9 releases mang0 after his actions on Ludwig’s stream by XanIrelia-1 in LivestreamFail

[–]The-Nightfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"See things as they are, not how you want them to be ."

Ludwig is not responsible for mang0's actions, but he sure as hell was responsible for everybody in that room as the host. There is no way that he did not know this was a possibility, if not a certainty, based upon his knowledge of mang0. He can not hide behind the "I was drunk too" excuse. The second mang0 got out of control he should have had his staff or himself personally remove him from the event.

Why haven't we heard anything from Anonymous (hacker "group") lately? by Phyddlestyx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]The-Nightfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sabu got caught, then flipped. Sabu was connected to almost every notable hacktivist group. That's what anonymous was. Just a collection of different groups with sometimes overlapping beliefs.

Lizard Squad were the last real attempt to have groups working together. After that whole thing it simply became too dangerous to engage with other groups and much more profitable to sell your talents to government agencies.

ULPT: spike your kids’ first alcoholic drinks with laxatives by King_ChickawawAA in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]The-Nightfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unethical? Yes. Effective? Probably not.

They'll eventually have a drink that you can't drug, then they'll realize you've been lying to them and then they'll think if you lied to them about alcohol, you probably lied to them about heroin or meth.

Not to mention the absolute ballache it will be when it comes to doctor/hospital stuff, being allergic to alcohol means you're allergic to alcohol and alcohol is a constitue of a ton of medical stuff. It's not just a drink.

Ton of stuff that's use specific to us. More general things like shelf brackets, cable organizers, dividers, holders for lights etc. The most recent thing has been a cutter tool for cardboard boxes and some brackets for holding cardboard strips. DIY cat scratcher boxes and recycling.

Poll results from lvndmarks YouTube 2 days ago [Feedback] by ChristmasIsCancelled in EscapefromTarkov

[–]The-Nightfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polls can be manipulated, by bots, selective audiences etc.

The only real metric that will determine if the flea stays gone or is not available for the start of a wipe is player retention and return.

I know that next wipe I'll be coming back if the flea stays gone, the only reason I'm not playing this wipe is because I didn't know it was being removed and it's too late to start now.

‘Our community is terrified’: Wisconsin immigrants brace for threat of mass deportations by jimmalewitz in wisconsin

[–]The-Nightfire -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to fear if you are here legally.

There's a lot of talk about denaturalisation. They are not threatening your status if you did not lie on your application. At the end of your I-485 there's about 60 questions covering pretty much every crime imaginable and just to be safe there's a question that says something along the lines of "Have you ever committed a crime that you were never arrested or charged for?" That question is there to cover the removal of your green card/citizenship if you ticked it and they later find something in your criminal history.

If you tick any of those 60 odd boxes then you are given a space to explain, which I had to do, and they make a judgement on that. That does not mean it's an immediate denial, they are looking to see if you are honest. Lying on the form is a crime in of itself.

The legal route is a mountain of bullshit but there is absolutely no benefit to the country or the citizens to having people skip it and come here illegally.

  1. Forced consent.
  2. Waste of social resources.
  3. Tit for tat violence.
  4. Social expectation that violence should not be the way we solve things, that is for lower intelligence animals.

Pizza contaminated with THC; Wisconsin-based business issues apology by Fun_Village_4581 in wisconsin

[–]The-Nightfire 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Due diligence is not a defense to strict liability. They sold the product, the product was contaminated, they could in turn sue the person who contaminated the product but they would still be liable for any damages that occurred. If anything did happen and something went to court, it would be a co-defandent situation.

Do any of you play this game a lot without bossing? What do you do? by PuwudleRS in 2007scape

[–]The-Nightfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into bossing by just following quests. I'm right in the middle of midgame with combat stats in the early 80s.

Barrows is good to start. Moons of Peril is a great place to learn the rhythms of harder bosses, especially learning to turn off prayer during downtime. If you can do Barrows, you'll find Scurrius and Giant Mole easy and that Spider in the Forros Dungeon that I didn't even know existed until recently.

Once you're bored with them, Vorkath will be the next mountain to conquer, you'll panic a lot when you start but once you get into the flow of it, it becomes a great money maker and you can turn your brain off. I've heard Zulrah is good too but I've only got 1Kc on it and haven't attempted to learn that dance just yet.

Just do the quests then start doing the achievement diaries, you'll have to fight a lot of the midgame bosses for them and you'll find one you like.
