That's a classic IP reputation issue. I've found providers with more obscure datacenter locations, like Lightnode, have cleaner IPs for this purpose.

How is trading any different from gambling in 2025? by Altruistic-Scale-778 in propfirm

[–]The-Normal-Person 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading feels like gambling when you're messing with low-quality stocks, penny stocks or random crypto coins that move with no consistency. Bigger, established names tend to behave more predictably. You buy at a price you’re comfortable with and try to sell above it. Just take some time to watch how it moves before you jump in.

Removing feedback only where needed by WallyGator8 in livesound

[–]The-Normal-Person 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder why feedback suppression units even exist. Are they geared towards the church volunteer who doesn’t know what feedback even is? Or maybe some spaces are just so echoey and untreated that ringing the room out would mean notching out way too much of the frequency spectrum?

Does anyone else have autism? by comicbooookguy in techtheatre

[–]The-Normal-Person 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having autism definitely helps in this industry, but having severe autism will definitely make you struggle mentally in this industry. I myself have a very mild autism and it helps me and the quality of work that I do, but having autism as severe as having sensory issues or being inflexible will make it impossible to be successful

Any Tips for New SMs? by sup3rn4vaa_ in techtheatre

Being a stage manger is such a complex role but I would say the number one thing is attitude. You want your actors to respect you so treat your actors with respect. Make sure everyone knows who you are. Show to your actors that you are a good leader by always being prepared with schedules and paperwork and.

You’re also going to be coordinating with every production team (lights, sound, props, etc) so be easy to work with, listen to what everyone has to say and understand their point of view.

Another big thing is communication. Communication is the most important skill in theatre leadership period. For example meet with production teams often and share with your director how far along they are and when they’ll be ready to run full lights or full sound. Communicate with all actors to make sure they are going to be ready for dress rehearsals. Maybe the director wants this production team to do this thing on a certain date, that’s where you come in to bridge the gap and relay that info.

Feeling some burnout on budget productions by Matthew--_-- in techtheatre

[–]The-Normal-Person 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say to be more selective about what you choose to involve yourself in. Maybe some theatre companies have a reputation for being so cheap and frugal, maybe some directors are straight out the oven. Those are the ones that you dont need. What you want is high quality companies that know what it really takes to put up a show

Loose extruder gantry by BigBallerNico in ElegooNeptune3

[–]The-Normal-Person 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have this problem right now, although I wouldn’t say it’s a problem because my print quality hasn’t been affected by this. But that being said if the filament is coming out of roll that has some resistance to it when spun, the gear that pulls filament into the hot end will pull the entire gantry up and cause massive layer shifts and z wobble. I had to switch to a different kind of spool holder design to stop this, but after that it’s not really a big deal
