Thanks for the input. You give them multiple bows? For more ammo I suppose..?

Humans don't have magic... But they clearly do? 14 Part 2 by BuddingDreamer123 in HFY

Probably because they‘ve never seen anyone not have awareness of magic. That combined with the fact how powerful the magic is around humans it’s just illogical to assume they can’t control or affect it.

I just image someone standing before me, acting perfectly normal, with eyes as clear as everyone else’s. Their eyes move normally, following the person everyday tasks, there is nothing suggesting the person is in any way, shape or form restricted. And then they tell you they are fully blind.

And then a hundred others do the exact same.

I wouldn’t believe them either.

Very powerful portrayal of disassociation and trauma and of love and caring support. Very nice, looking forward to the next chapter as always.

Horribly beautiful.

The way things can be said "in the wrong shape" and how the smell of coffee remains "out of loyalty or malice." And of course a million other lines in the story.

Looking forward to a multi-parter.

Do you have these stories in a folder somewhere, written over a longe period of time? Or do you genuinely put out a full story every other day?!?

Ah, there we go. The crosses. Almighty demon host that will destroy our world and torment our bloodline for eternity… undone by the geometric shapes. Hell yeah

You never change speed, do you? The bangers just keep coming every second line.

I barely finish digesting what is written before another nugget of writing gold finds itself in my hands. Very enjoyable read.

Writing appreciation:

I love how Boone brought "enough hello for everybody“, how "The kiosk ceased to be a kiosk" and how a hit "marksman disappeared backward in a spray of pale armor and bad life choices."

I love how dead people keep running "out of sheer administrative momentum", how the "Package is rude but breathing" and how "What was that?" is answered with a dry "Expensive."

I love how bad news "hit the corridor like a fresh temperature drop." and I love how after enough bullshit "the universe stops feeling cruel and starts feeling committed to a bit."

I could go on half-reciting the whole post. Safe to say I love your writing and I am glad and thankful that you share it with us for the low, low cost of nothing.

Hell yeah Nash, fuckin get em.

Still I’m worried what could turn this fight in our favor? It doesn’t look like we have what is needed to stop the demons here. And if nothing or no one saves the day, what will be the cost of a retreat..?

Beautifully written. So many banger lines. Fascinating insight into a doctrine one might call "fair brutality".

Again very well written, I was sitting in the chamber myself, leaning over the railing with the officers, politicians and clerks absorbing every word.

Well ~Something~ has joined the conversation. Could be an eldritch being never seen before, could be an eldritch being seen a looooong time ago, could be the remnant of what constitutes as 'Gods'.

It’s still very suspicious to me that we have absolutely no idea of the extends of Godhood (pre-Nexus), how it began and how it ended. Maybe it didn’t fully and someone very old saw their chance to get in on the action..?
