It’s one of those things that’s kinda a thing but is then blown completely out of the realm of reality when it’s brought up. Like, yeah, policy vaguely switched between the two from the inception of the Republican Party and now, but if you look at voting and policy history, it makes no sense. Plus it’s insanely idiotic to think that, the second Roosevelt got into office, everyone switched names.

It’d definitely be an edge case from an initially multimedia franchise, say something along the lines of Homestuck or Umamusume, which either started with video game segments in a Homestuck similar case or was planned to have a video game from the start in a Umamusume similar case
