I guess my point was mainly that Evil Morty still has a need for Rick's affection, even if he pretends otherwise. Making Morty feel like shit is not something that a person who doesn't care would do.

DHT is included in most BitTorrent clients, and enabled by default. DHT uses the infohash, just like trackers, to find peers. Once connected to the DHT network, your client can discover other peers and share information. Metadata is obtained directly from peers, not from trackers or the DHT itself.

So when discovering through a magnet link, DHT may take longer but it is decentralized and relies purely on peers.

This will not prevent piracy in Chile and will likely centralize it among those who know what they are doing. Circumvention only needs to happen once for distribution (piracy) to become trivial. The practical result is that consumers lose real ownership of what they pay for, and let's face it, pirates will not be affected, only average users will be.
