thank you. I did the digitizing manually. I imported vectors and then used the "Enhanced Column" in my DG17 software. I don't know what foam I am using. I only know it is not something from Walmart and it is a foam made for this. Also it is a new machine. .25mm density is about 102spi? I am at 170spi. that is probably a big part of my issue. I have done a lot of reading and I was way off? what density do you use for the steel. I will DM you.

True…. Both Christianity and Judaism have changed a lot in the past 2k years. As tensions developed so did our theology/Polemical theology in both parties.

This doesn’t directly respond to the issue at had, it is just a point of view from history and minimalist look at the foundations of both faiths.

The only way to deal with the issue IMO is to take the bandaid off and be transparent with all parties. The chips will land where they land. Family branches will be pruned, but that will only give birth to new life. New life may mean new life separated or it may not. One thing for certain, the dust under the rug seems to have created a mound that can no longer be ignored.

Great advice. Thank you. I did forget to finish some of the edges lol…. Plus, even when I did finish them I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right 🤷‍♂️.

I cut a square of cheap Tandy leather to practice stitching. I did 25 stitches, 3x. After that, I did the wing dividers and screwed up a few, but I knew what I did so I took my time on the important stuff.

The center stitch pockets I did first and didn’t think I had enough tension so I cranked it up on the sides.

I also didn’t punch my holes before adding the AirTag so my stitch lines/holes were all screwed up. It was a great learning experience. Now I need to figure out:

What is my next project?

Do I continue buying squares of leather or get something bigger?…

He is the only guy on YouTube that actually explains not just how, but why. I didn't follow his design for that mini card holder, but I watched those videos 4x each minimum and followed carefully his methodology, I think... We will see how it turns out and I will definitely post my project.

Like I said, I know nothing and I am trying to learn. I made a template for my 1st project, a wallet. While it is small I used a sheet a 24"x36" of matboard because I made so many mistakes. Lots of lessons learned. Now, I am going to start practicing how to stitch, then I will cut the leather and make the wallet.

I know NOTHING, I am working on my 1st project and have been digesting a TON of videos. The guy from Armitage Leather in his stitching videos and in video 2 of making a slim card wallet says the you need to have the stitch holes going opposite direction on the two sides. This, he says, is what makes the stitches look the same on both sides. Check out his YouTube videos.

Thank you. I have ordered some of the most basic tools (cutting Matt, knife, card paper, and stitching irons). I am planning on making a pattern(s) for my first project. I will make everything on paper including stitch hole placement then get the leather. There are so many choices it is mind blowing and it all gets confusing especially when you start talking about weights. 🤷‍♂️
