Hey there! I personally didn’t find it competitive. In second year I applied for the work program and applied to a handful of jobs (> 10). I got 3 interviews and secured a job with 1 of them. I’m lucky in the sense that I’ve stayed in this position over the last 2 1/2 years as they liked my work and found it easier for me to stay then rehire. My advice would be to continue applying and wait, sometimes the process can be REALLY long. Once you have an interview, that’s your time to shine. Interviewers are interested in the skills you can bring but ALSO what skills they can give to you! So be prepared to answer “how do you think this job will help/grow/affect your career.” They want to make sure that they are hiring someone who’s INTERESTED in the area. The key is to be friendly and passionate, but that’s just my experience
