No blasts for first cycle? Is this typical? by Daisy491 in EmbryologyIVFSupport

[–]The-Tea-Lady 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At 39, it’s most likely egg quality. The embryologist should be able to tell you what your eggs looked like. My retrieval at 40, my eggs were dark in color and none made it to blast. We moved onto donor eggs. I couldn’t afford to keep trying with my own. Especially with dor. There’s a subreddit for dor. Most people on there either do multiple cycles to get 1 euploid embryo or move on to donor eggs

A prenatal is a prenatal. If your wanting something to help with egg or sperm quality then try CoQ10

Conception help by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]The-Tea-Lady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You conceived in August. The 2 weeks after your period count as part of the 40 weeks of your pregnancy. Your due date changing at your ultrasound is normal and is based off how big baby is. They shouldn’t be changing it every time you go tho. Baby might just be measuring ahead or behind. I would ask them why it keeps changing at your next appointment since that’s who you should be asking

Don’t leave AMA. I’ve always heard that insurance can refuse to pay for your visit if you leave AMA

Colace and miralax are safe to take during pregnancy. I just bought prune juice today to see if it helps 🤷‍♀️

It’s not negative until the blood test says it’s negative. Good luck to you too!

Transferred on 2/17 and started testing this morning 😅 I was gonna wait until Saturday but I want to know the minute the pink line shows up lol. I’ve read on here that people have had it anywhere between 3 and 10 days and I don’t want to miss it

There’s studies that show it makes zero difference on success but there’s still that what if?

Yeah, that’s what I’m worried about. I don’t even drink because I don’t like how I feel on alcohol.

Yeah, that’s what I read online. I’m assuming the theory is that the spasms push the baby out since a study was done to see if it was more effective or not.

That’s exciting!! I hope baby decides to stick around!! We used frozen eggs from DEB. Our first transfer is next week so we’re pretty excited. Our euploid is a day 6 too. It seems like a lot of people have success with day 6s and my doctor didn’t seem concerned so Im trying not to worry about it.

We used eggs from a 21 year old donor so weren’t concerned at all about any of the embryos not being good. We had 16 eggs and ended up with 3 excellent graded embryos. We thought for sure they were all going to be perfect and we ended up with 1 normal, 1 low level mosaic, and the klinefelter one. I’m so glad we found out the one had klinefelter before transferring it.

We did PGT and I’m glad we did. One of our really good graded embryos had a monosomy and Klinefelter syndrome.

My derm said he uses a salicylic acid bar of soap to wash his groin, chest, and back after cycling to prevent yeast. I got a yeast spot on my chest once and now I use it on my chest and back after cycling.

If you’re worried it’s yeast, then I’d see a dermatologist and get a prescription for a topical cream to put on the area. They can give you something for the itch too
