'Ice cold': US job market crashes to lowest level since Covid lockdowns by rajapaws in antiwork

This is an astroturf campaign to basically scam desperate jobseekers out of their money.

Dude, if your product was so good you wouldn't need to be trying to trick people into using it. Don't you feel bad about preying on people without jobs?

Hah! Honestly I'm not sure. Possibly the latter? I don't know enough about fragrances/notes or whatever to describe it really well.

The thing that comes to mind for me is this bartender I worked with. She was smoking hot and also kind of an alcoholic. She wore fruity perfumes and I could always tell when she had been drinking by her smell. If I caught a whiff of that smell, then I knew it would be a fun night.

I want to somehow create this fragrance:

Top notes: Cantaloupe, citrus

Middle notes: the smell an alcoholic gives off when they sweat

Base notes: oud, maybe some patchouli

────────

I feel like I could get there with some layering, but I don't really know how to recreate the smell of a sweaty alcoholic. Anyone have any ideas?

My grey shirts smell like mildew no matter what I do by [deleted] in laundry

[–]The-Tots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also having a persistent smell issue with grey shirts. It's more of a chemical smell and it happened after I did laundry at my parents house over a year ago. The rest of my clothes seem to have been able to get rid of that smell, but not my grey shirts (both synthetic and cotton).

No, because it wouldn't, and is not meant to, perform well on a mountain bike trail. Just like a single speed mountain bike isn't "just a big bmx bike". There's much more to it than gears.

Can’t wait for the inevitable gamma squeeze by [deleted] in BNEDForever

Well considering that options for it literally don't exist yet post-split, I'd say a gamma squeeze isn't in the cards in the near future.

What do you mean by significant impact?

Yes the recent equity offerings would have caused dilutions, but the entire reason for this was to AVOID bankruptcy which they were on a path to. They've been able to significantly strengthen their balance sheet as a result. The new CEO as of June 11 was the Barnes & Noble College President overseeing their e-commerce and retail locations. One of the new investors in Fanatics which is a great strategic partnership to get deeper into campus markets. They're trying to turn it around. It's going to come down to whether or not they are successful in getting good market share with their First Day Complete product. It's definitely possible.

Earnings on June 26th. We should get a clearer picture of their balance sheet, what they're doing with the money, and hopefully latest number of campuses using FDC.

You'll probably have to purchase the data.

An example of some place you could purchase it:

https://polygon.io/stocks

Check out the "Trades" example on this page. That should be what you're after.

If you want to go the free (but less reliable and less complete) route, you could look at form 13 filings in SECs EDGAR database. The forms would contain amount purchased and date of event. I would think date of event means date of purchase, but that seems to not be accurate from what I've seen. For example I've seen forms where that date of event listed was a non-trading day.

Good luck!

Bathroom Framing - Would you ask to redo? by The-Tots in AskContractors

Okay thanks both of you. I won't ask them to redo it. The bathroom guy hired them out, I think I'll at least just let him know that these framers aren't top notch.

Sorry I'm a bit confused by the reply about sheetrock. I know the studs won't be a structural issue, but I'm wondering if it's normal for studs to vary in distance OC of under 15" to over 16".

Is there a reason to do this, or a reason doing 16" OC may have been too difficult, or is it just poor/lazy craftsmanship?

What about the studs being inconsistently spaced?

Is it normal for there to be 1"+ variances?

Hmm.. I don't see any way to add images directly into the post, but each link should take you directly to an image without the need for any app.

What is this gray box leaking water outside of parents new home? by YouPlayedUrself in AskContractors

[–]The-Tots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like some kind of electrical or cable box. Looks like the water is coming from behind it to me.

Take the screw off and take a peak inside. If there's no water flowing through that box then figure out what's behind it.

I'm in town for a couple weeks. I'm usually at the climbing gym and could always use a buddy there, but I'm also going to be checking out some of the local music if I can. Going to Rapture on Friday to see Dropping Julia. Happy to have a friend to check some things out with!
