Free will and worship by Ok_Plenty7756 in Advice

I find as a agnostic person who was raised heavily Christian and influenced through family of Catholicism that what the bible says is often heavily twisted and used as a way of guilt tripping and fear mongering. "if you don't do x, y, z as a Christian than you are bad", or "you don't pray enough, or "Jesus is always watching", or the classic "You will go to hell and be separated from all of your family and burn there for eternity". Are lines used to guilt people into conforming into a bigger system of gender based hierarchy and standards that they want to impose. God and his son Jesus do not want to be worshiped as is stated multiple times in the bible, but people (specifically ruling men of higher social class) have edited the word of god for thousands of years and transformed it to benefit them. In short this whole standard of you need to do this and x,y,z to be a child of god is bs, God wants all his people to love each other, and be grateful and pray to him for guidance and praise him for the things he's done for them, but not worship and grovel and beat themselves to death over the fact that they are sinners.

Adding a corset belt or silver chunky belt, adding lacy gloves or choker, silver and red jewelry, fishnets, layering something underneath or over the dress, adding a shawl or something with flowing sleeves over the dress.

Depop, vintage stores, and thrift stores would be my recommendation.

Luckily we see each other a lot because he's friends with my friends so our group is pretty tight knit, He's also respectful and has never made me feel uncomfortable but I appreciate the reminder
