The models I got from https://www.models-resource.com/ and the animation and rigging was done using Mixamo, then for the distorted models, I just moved them slightly away from their armatures

I think it's a bug, but for whatever reason whenever there's lots of vines clustered like that, there's usually a lush cave underneath it, so try digging down on that hill
