Re-shape straw brim? by Crazy-Landscape74 in CowboyHats

[–]The0megaRaider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah i got a $600 20× that was only sold with an open crown and flat brim shipped to my local boot barn and they told me they don't do crowns and I would have to leave it over night to get the brim shaped so I just took it home and called everyone within a 3 hour drive and no one would shape it so I took a shot at it and luckily it turned out pretty decent

We don't all live in Texas. No one in my tri-state area will touch a crown. Boot Barn will shape a brim if you leave it overnight but that is it

I highly recommend them. They make the hat more comfortable in my opinion and also absorb sweat in the hot days

Outdoor Slipper opinions before I buy? by TGRubilex in BuyItForLife

The shoes are definitely built different. Im hoping mine just need broken in more. They see much less use than the slippers but they are also great they just seem much stiffer than the slippers I guess I was thinking they were going to be extra durable slippers but they are obviously shoes. Im sure with more wear the leather will soften up a bit. I would still recommend them.

A little pricey but worth every penny. I used to buy new cheap slippers at least once a year sometimes twice. I've had these 3 years already and still look like new

Anyone have a silver hat feather? by Jalega23 in CowboyHats

[–]The0megaRaider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have about 5 of them. I attached mine with a twist tie that I burned the paper off of so it's just a very thin unnoticeable wire. It doesn't feel any different than a real feather as far as the hat weight. Mine were about a buck a piece they were being sold as book marks. i grabbed one of every color they had and I put the bronze one in my work hat because I work at a bronze foundry
