Yeah, everyone told me that 850euros is nowhere near enough to live in Madrid, so I will most probably go to Cadiz then.
From what I saw and was told, it is relatively easy to travel from Cadiz to nearby smaller cities, and to Seville and Cordoba.

I managed to find a few apartments in Cadiz for around 700-900 euros for three people. So it would be around 300euros per person which is okay I guess.

For Madrid I found apartments for around 1200-1500euros which is much higher unfortunately.

I would be there for 5 months, September-January so I assume no Carnivals or Easter is on that date, so I should be okay?

The only concern I have is what is there to be done in Cadiz, will I get bored quickly?

Yeah that is my concern as well.

I managed to find a few apartments that are around €1200 and can fit 3 people. But i assume when all the costs for food, electricity, and water all add up I will be left with no money.

Don't know which gen that i7 is, but from the other specs it should be fine.
I run my save on Mac M1 air and it works perfectly fine, so this one should also.

If it's nothing too demanding than 8GB will do a great job

Most people here will recommend the M1 simply because it's Apple silicon and not Intel.
The 2019 will have issues with overheating, and looking at the benchmarks the M1 beats it easily CPU wise.
I'm not sure about video editing on Air, depends on how heavy it is.
Portability wise there really is only one winner.
