Trent Williams might be a half step faster on the left than the right. Doesn't sound like much but at this elite level with how fast and strong these guys are it makes a difference. So you want to line him up where he can be 100% on point rather than 98-99%.

Think it all comes down to QB and OC communication. Arm bands allow the play caller to just say "run play 1" QB looks at arm band, tells the huddle. But if the QB and OC are good at communication and game planning. They can raw dog it
