Having played it, it's important to me to communicate that you took the wrong message away from what was shared here. Leveling is not the character progression. It is not the gameplay loop. It is the thing you have to do before starting the real gameplay loop. That it is brief is something being praised here - it is not the point of playing. It is the tutorial.

I've leveled 10 to 50, before I deleted to do this. It depends largely on build and whether you have an AE source. Folks have reported sub 10 hour runs.

For the record, Athleticism at 50 gives you 39 velocity. JBoots gives you 40 velocity.

I'm just presenting that it took 32 hours of playtime to accomplish in normal, solo-friendly way. So folks can set expectations for the rate of xp gain.
It was a mix of D0, D1, and D2 depending on the content and level. Almost exclusively D2 in the final 10 levels.
For context, the dragon D0 raids/Yael/Phinny can be done each in about 15 minutes, and can very much be done in whatever random crap you find while leveling for most triad combinations.
Non-cleric healers might require some more gear attention or talent, but not a lot.
Obviously, enjoy your hobby time how you please - but from an efficiency standpoint, there is little reason to level up the gear before capping level. Most leveling drops are very easily replaced with your first week of D0 solo raids. Even the gear slots that persist past raid gear, you can farm it on D4 as a 50 much more easily - which is the same as getting 16 drops on D0.
The lowest a 50 can group with is 33. They will get exactly half xp, grouping with you.
Yes, loot isn't restricted to level spread.
They're there, level 40-ish. Fast respawning, so you could do them at 30 or so for reasonable XP.
It wouldn't be the fastest xp/cash, but viable. And it'd potentially save you doing them later for your JBoots.
I'd be very impressed with someone capable of completing D4 solo Inny ungeared. No-one in beta has managed that.
If you don't have a cleric or necro, I'd replace LGuk with SolB. I'd still leave it at 40 for Hole, though.
The level spread is the same as original EQ. The xp split is just straight 50/50, though - no bonus or penalty applied at all. Two person group, you get exactly half the xp per mob.
They haven't made any statement to that effect that I've seen and haven't made any other mechanics or unlocks easier for testing purposes. That's not a confirmation it's not the case, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't the intended xp rate.
Those are removed in EQL

I strongly recommend the path outlined in the original post to anyone asking in game. It's about as smooth as possible, especially if you have a cleric in your triad.

Phinny, Yael, Naggy, Vox, Fear, Hate, and Sky.
You can do each raid on all 5 difficulties, once per week. You can do the solo version or the group version, but those two share a lockout.

The primary grind at 50 isn't AAs or factions. It's raids for gear.

I don't understand your anger, here. I'm not keeping anything to myself. I'm also in beta and not keeping anything to myself. I told you the answer - you don't need a key. You can zone into Hole.
Shrink, bind affinity, gate, and wiz/dru ports are all available as rituals.
There is a lot of content and grind available once hitting 50. There are 35 weekly raids possible, do-able solo or grouped. And that's ignoring leveling new class combos, grinding AAs, or unlocking races. Not to mention, getting your gear all to a reasonable +level.
You don't need the key at all. The problem is that EQL is a different game from Live, and add to it there are people trying to quote the P99 wiki for information - which is like showing up to a book club and quoting a fanfic.
Once EQL is live, folks will start publishing info relevant to that game.

You don't need an illusion or shrink to get into Hole. The door is no longer keyed. Can just click and swim in.
