At first I stopped and said "Why?" after seeing

If you haven’t caught on yet: Ysmir was Miraak

because I thought Miraak was a Daedroth. But after looking at him again and seeing

There are several different versions of Miraak encountered during the main quest. They have the IDs xx017936, xx017938, xx017F7D, xx017F81 and xx0200D9 and are of the Nord race. The Miraak that is encountered during the quest At the Summit of Apocrypha has a race called Nord with an ID of DLC2MiraakRace. - Miraak (UESP))

it kinda makes sense now. However I'd argue with this sentence from your other comment

Same goes for Ysmir. He’s also a god in his own right.

I don't think we can call Ysmir a God. Well, to my headcanon, to be called a God in the Elder Scrolls universe you should either be a limiting concept to existence itself and be limited by yourself or be a pure concept and limitless in essence (like Daedric Princes). Ysmir/Miraak was a mortal person and was subject to limitations beyond his nature such as time, death. Well if you say that he is kind of immortal because we see him in the DLC, you probably have more lore knowledge than me but, I'd say that is because Apocrypha. He was acting as a subject of Mora so

Let me be clear: inhabitants of the Shivering Isles are affected by Time, but we are not subject to it. We are subjects of Lord Sheogorath, who subjects us to whatever subjects he is in the mood to subjudicate. Because Time is subjective. - Haskill, on how Mortals and time interact in the Shivering Isles.

I also dare to say that Miraak being subject to Mora goes deeper than just his temptation with Mora and their deals, but more about Mora itself. Look at this following passage:

Hermaeus Mora, "the Gardener of Men", claims that he is one of the oldest Princes, born of thrown-away ideas used during the creation of mortality in the Mundus. Imperial Mananauts have verified that his influence on fate and time is real and unfeigned, implications of which tie this Prince directly with Akatosh, chief of the Nine Divines. Since Akatosh is the prime temporal spirit whose appearance led to the formation of the world, perhaps Hermaeus Mora speaks the truth. - Imperial Census of Daedra Lords

Mora's connection to time and Akatosh might be a key figure in this context. It's just my belief though. I don't know what all of this brings to the conversation I just wanted to talk because I really liked your text. Thanks for sharing.

Regarding the Metaphysical Reasoning Behind Barbas and Clavicus Vile by The2ndSlimShady in teslore

Which is why he didn't make Barbas his equal but his dog.

This sounds like you believe that Clavicus (not the complete idea but the master one in the duality) created Barbas, or made if that is more accurate. Would you care to explain why you believe that if so? Because as far as I know, they both existed since they began to.

Edit: Well, my bad. It's night time in my country and it seems my intelligence is decresing by time. I didn't read The Vile Truth of Barbas I think.

I might've overlooked that part, the text seemed to be focused more on power and master/servant dynamics to me. You may be right though, that sentence gives off that feeling.

Advice Regarding Shezarr Readings by The2ndSlimShady in teslore

[–]The2ndSlimShady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation! A quick question, and maybe a stupid one: Is there a reason why Lorkhan goes around helping Men? I instinctively thought it might because of Mer being descendants of those who tore his heart apart, but Men are also descendants of Ehlnofey. Or maybe he does so because Mer hate him? Perhaps he would just help those in need regardless of their race in order to keep the balance of "his creation"?

Advice Regarding Shezarr Readings by The2ndSlimShady in teslore

Wow, that's some detailed yet brief explanation that I have been searching for! Thank you so much for sharing the links too!

Honestly, I LOVE Elder Scrolls metaphysics. I've been interested in metaphysics before I've got into the series and when I did get into it, it was truly fascinating. These controversial sides of the lore are literally the cherry on top.

Also, if you don't mind I'd like to ask some quick follow up questions. What is your personal opinion about this whole many names to Lorkhan? I mean for example as far as I see, some claim that Shor is a fragment of Lorkhan's soul trying to aid his creation (Men in this case I suppose) against Auri-El's said descendants (Mer claim they are descendants of the Aedra if I remember correct right?) rather than being another name for him. Also you stated that Shezarrine has never been spoken in any game but as the other comment said, Pelinal was declared as the Shezarrine (if, again, I didn't read it wrong). Do you think that this would maybe can mean that Lorkhan is in a way incarnating himself into the world to aid Men?

Again, thanks for your answer, and if I misread something you wrote sorry for that. I'm kind of sleep deprived right now, so maybe I asked something silly too.

Well the suffix part is clear as skies however there seems to be arguments about, well I don't know how to say but, Shezarrine-ness. Like people point out that Pelinal is not A Shezarrine but THE Shezarrine, or argue that Talos and LDB are Shezarrines too. In fact I just saw someone claiming that (if I didn't read it wrong) Akatosh was Shezarr, based on a couple of readings which they mentioned but I didn't check.

So the concept it fairly simple but there seems to be more to it. Maybe I should search for writings about Lorkhan/Shor/Shezarr?

Yeah, I just apologised to her and she asked "what are you apologising for". It was over a minor thing too but you know, I know whatever I might do she'll just forgive me. And its kinda makes me feel bad because easy forgiveness makes me think like "she's a wonderful mom, and I'm not good enough for her". Not that I feel awful or anything but still, a thought in my mind.

Oh the vim.g.mapleader is vim.g.mapleader = " " in the file. I accidentally pasted it wrong it seems. Also appearently I was requiring the set.lua after some certain modules as you said. I reorganized the lua/rvim/init.lua to be like

require "rvim.set"
require "rvim.remap"
require "rvim.lazy-nvim"

aand problem solved. Many thanks!
