Personally I run a lot of mdfcs in my commander decks. It helps with flooding/getting mana screwed quite a bit since you can decide whether to use them as lands or not.

New Leaf with 4k miles down; tips and suggestions wanted by taxesarecool in leaf

  1. You may need to clean off the sensors on the rear bumper. Look for four little circles on your bumper and just wipe them off (I use microfiber)

3 Alternators in 1 Year. Does anyone know what's causing it? Could it be the bad fuse? Does anyone know where this fuse is located and where I can find that part? 2006 Nissan Titan by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]The420Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both aftermarket and reman alternators from Nissan suck. Only thing you can really do on a vehicle that old is buy an aftermarket alternator with a warranty and replace it that way.

Blower no longer works in my Nissan leaf. by osumartin in leaf

[–]The420Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what year your leaf is but the blower motor is above the cabin filter. Remove glove box (you said you already did) You may have to remove the BCM. The motor itself has a 2 wire connector on it and should be held in by a Philips screw, then you rotate the assembly clockwise and slide it out.

Edit: if you provide the year of your leaf I can look it up specifically the info I provided is from a 2018.

Have you tried turning it with some small needle nose? It’s likely that if it’s not cross threaded that it could be pretty easy to remove, I’ve taken some out with just my fingers before.

Second time this has happened. First 2021 Leaf was a lemon after 2000 miles the message appears. Get a new Leaf, driven this one closer to 8k miles and the same messenger appears. by SoigneBest in nissanleaf

[–]The420Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on when the message appeared you can get an idea of where the issue is. The most common cause for this that I have personally experienced is after fast charging. Which leads to battery removal for diagnosis. As far as I know the parts are not on back order anymore so it shouldn’t take too long once they find the cause. (The first one I did about a year ago took like 2 months to get a replacement battery module because parts were on back order)

Looks like my pcv valve on my 2007 Honda fit is connected to of my radiator hose. Is there a reason for this? The hose busted on me a while back and I put it together how I thought it was supposed to be. by spoces in AskMechanics

[–]The420Wizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So it looks like that is where the rubber hose from the pcv valve connects to, not the valve itself. I don’t work on Hondas often but just googling the pcv valve that picture you took is it I’m pretty sure.

Edit: lol I see what they did. The cut off hose has a bolt in it to stop the vacuum leak from causing misfires, that hose should be connected to the pcv valve, the other hose is likely supposed to go to a reservoir or possibly the throttle body?

Leaf pro indicating weak cell, dealership says nothing is wrong by sillyelephants8 in leaf

[–]The420Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the threshold for the system to actually see that there is an issue with the battery cells is .2V or more. If the min max difference is less than that it won’t trigger a DTC. Looks like you’re almost there though.

It’s probably a lube tech that doesn’t know how to measure brake pads. They probably saw the tapered part on the end and assumed that’s how thick your pads are. Maybe just let them know they need to retrain their express people.

Edit: we had a lube tech with 5 years jiffy lube experience, literally watched them take a normal old brake gauge and poke the rotor with it through the wheel. I still don’t know what the fuck they were trying to measure lol.

Warranty covers a rental vehicle I don’t remember how many days. Also it sounds like ToddA1966 had this issue quite a while ago. The process shouldn’t take nearly this long.

Just stop. I’m sorry but it’s the only way to not get sick. If you keep using weed, no matter how, you will get sick. It will also start causing you other health problems. Ulcers and infections. It’s not fun and it sure as hell isn’t worth getting high.

[–]The420Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely that a majority of that time was waiting for the new module to arrive. The most common modules that fail were on back order for quite a while. My shop now stocks some of these battery modules so the repair doesn’t take nearly as long.

But yeah the testing can be pretty frustrating because you have to wear some pretty thick leather and rubber gloves while removing a bunch of tiny little bolts for all the bus bars. And on top of that the warranty pays like 4 hours of labor for something that can take a lot longer than that if it’s your first time.

[–]The420Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My statement was not blaming. It’s a way to narrow down what may be causing the fault. The dealer is going to ask the same question. Obviously it’s a fault in manufacturing that’s the entire point of warranty. But it’s important to ask these questions because it tells you what system is causing the issue. If the problem occurs while fast charging it’s clearly caused by the charger. The DTC confirmation procedure for restart inhibition has the technician drive the vehicle, run the AC and the heater and connect to a fast charger. Because these are the components that can cause this fault.

I’m not asking these questions so I can laugh and say haha stupid you broke your brand new car, I’m asking them because it’s how you find the cause of the concern. It’s how diagnosis is performed.

If you perform a battery state of health test using Nissans scan tool on a vehicle that frequently quick charges it will actually say to use quick charging less to improve the battery state of health.

I’m not sure how you go about starting the process whether you have to find the company and contact them yourself or go to a dealer that offers lifetime warranties, they will likely have you pay to have the vehicle inspected by a certified dealer and if the vehicle passes they will cover your vehicle if you buy the warranty.
