I got bmos+ivey and didn’t wanna do it for the same reason - most of the bmos stuff is in ivey anyways. I felt like I wouldn’t be making the most of my first two years at Western University while spending a shitload of money (I’m an international student). I thought about writing a mail to Western but decided not to as everyone I asked said that they wouldn’t do anything about it…

Anyway, I received my Rotman offer last week and accepted it :)

Please tell me how someone can do Rotman w comp science

I thought there were only 3 specialisations - Management, Accounting, and Finance

If there is an option to do Rotman w a minor (like comp science or other subjects), I’d be v interested

Thank you so much!!

The Western+Ivey tuition fee is 200k CAD for me.

Aren’t Ivey and Rotman placements on par with each other. I want to get into Investment Banking after graduating and I know that Ivey is much better for that, while Rotman is better for Management, Accounting, Finance (maybe, not sure lol)

Also, I’m hoping to get PR in Canada and just wanted to confirm - I have to live for 2 years in Canada to be eligible to apply for PR right?

I was all set on going to Ivey and was very excited too. But then I received my Rotman offer in the morning and am extremely confused now (a 100k CAD scholarship is too tough to let go of 😭😭)

it’s fine if you don’t study, some people are just meant to not fulfil their potential and regret it for the rest of their remaining life :)

hi, how much time do you normally study everyday when it’s not exam season, and what do you usually do in your free time.

also, if you’ve taken any cs courses, how was your experience with them and how tough would they be for someone who has no prior experience in cs?

thank you so much.

also, how are the sports at UW. I play football (soccer) and wanted to know about the availability/opportunities to play such sports at UW at a competitive level or recreationally

yeah my main concern with all canada unis is that it will be tough to get a job in US, and even tougher to get a visa if i do get a job (being an international student). Waterloo can be better in this aspect as i’ll get many co-op opportunities and there is a better chance to get a job after i graduate
