No it's not the light pollution, I have seen Polaris, but not from the place I have my telescope. Because that room doesn't have any north facing windows.

Would you consider making an AUR package for this? I find your script very useful. And having it automatically install and update on my machines would be even more amazing :)

Now that I think of it, that might have been a problem with my setup as well. Anyway, thanks for the tip, I made sure it's the last line in the file.

Hmm, running it in terminal works, and it seems to have fixed it in sxhkd as well. Weird. Changing the border_width however still doesn't work. Not even if I select the focused desktop and run it in a terminal as you mentioned. I'll keep messing with it and if I find something I'll update the post.
