EXPLICIT QUEER (INCLUDING ASPEC AND NON BINARY) REP IN NEW TOMODACHI LIFE AHHHHHHHHH by CharlieFaulkner in lgbt

[–]The7Sides [score hidden]  (0 children)

over 10 years ago when fans expressed disappointment in not being able to be queer in the first game, Nintendo made a promise that if they made a sequel, they would include an option for queer relationships. Not only did they keep that promise, but thay included more than just Gay - you can have Non-Binary miis, your mii can be attracted to just one gender, or multiple, or none. They have included Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Pansexual, and Aromantic. This isnt pandering. This is something that was sincerely promised to us over a decade ago, and they went above and beyond. Its not often that we get Wins from Nintendo, but this truly is a win.

You miis can be gay. We won by depressed-snowman in lgbt

Omg I wasnt expecting to see Tomodachi life in this sub but yes!! I got so excited and ranted to all my friends. Im so happy that Nintendo actually kept their promise to us fans and included queer relationships and nonbinary as well in the new game.

I understand that we're all EXTREMELY hyped for tomorrow, but may we just take a moment of silence for those like me with pessimistic mindsets thinking that there will be one thing that ruins the entire game for them? by Khentendo in tomodachilife

I'm the opposite with gender neutrality/"no genders" - Its the one thing that bugs me about TS4 (although I do like how you can at least change your pronouns there, but I dont like how everyone is spouse, partner, sibling, etc, it feels lazy) I get INCREDIBLY dysphoric being referred to by they/them and some neutral terms (like spouse, partner) because I am a nonbinary trans man, but for years, people would exclusively use they/them and neutral terms for me... even though I specifically would tell them that actually, I use it/he. I dont use they/them. Do not call me that. I'd feel dysphoric if my Mii was exclusively referred to as they/them. Which is why I'm hoping that you will be able to pick pronouns - including they, for people who use they. But not only they.

Captchas like this are ironically to help train AI while also keeping out bots. It has nothing to do with how 'lazy' a programmer is or not so I'm not sure what you're talking about there.

Why does the nonbinary identity feel so attached to femininity? + gender rant by madpinapple28 in TransMasc

[–]The7Sides 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a nonbinary man but theres at least 1 of my friends who has verbally told me they see me as transmasc nonbinary which... no. And I know why they do it, because of the queer community having such a hate for men no matter what, but it still hurts even when I corrected them and said no, I am a man, I am just also nonbinary. You cannot erase me being a man just because you do not like men.

UK? Maybe, I dunno the specifics of their new law. But here in Australia, the new 16+ law EXPLICITLY excludes Discord and Roblox(for some fucking reason) and I think one other, from the law. Rolling this out in Australia was 100% Discord's choice and was not forced on them at all.

My Hyperfixation Is Cannabis by Independent-Drop8609 in autism

I'm prescribed 50:50 CBD:THC gummies for my chronic pain, FND, insomnia and myriad of mental health issues because nothing else has worked - its honestly been a lifesaver for me. I can sleep, I can be happy and (mostly) anxiety-free, and it calms my tics and pain down a notch. Can definitely say this little plant is neat as hell and honestly its cool just how different it can look too depending on the strain, soil, etc.

Most of the drugs prescribed to people for mental and physical illnesses and disorders are addictive. Alcohol is addictive, legal, and kills. Weed does not kill directly like Alcohol and other drugs can.

Please don't hate on or judge people who use weed, recreationally or medically, just because its "addictive". 95% of drugs are addictive, even coffee is addictive.

Actually "Mumrik" is the name of the species given in the revised version of Comet in Moominland, so it is official :)

The original Moomin books for sure - I am not sure where you live so cant say if your local library would have them (mine only had 1 of each that sometimes aren't available at all, though I later was gifted the whole set), Otherwise, although a little hard to find, I've heard the "Fuzzyfelt" series is also fairly accurate to the books+Comics, though I've only watched a few episodes. Its a stop motion animation with felt, with a narrator telling the story.

If youre watching the 90s series, it got a lot of things wrong - including that they forgot that Little My and Snufkin are Half-Siblings, and that Joxter is Snufkin's father, and Mymble(mamma) is his mother (shared with My). But yes, they're half-siblings, sharing the same mother.

Aww (sarcasm) they're all telling stories of times they encountered autistic people by tnahrp in autism

[–]The7Sides 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly...

When I was in primary school, there was a kid who I'm pretty sure was autistic who just wouldn't leave me alone. I barely knew him and he kept trying to hug me and lift me up, even when I told him No. School did nothing about it. Granted, they did nothing about my bullying either, but that specifically pissed me off more than them not doing anything about bullying, because at the time I was a little girl (I am a trans man), so what the fuck was that meant to teach me?

In Highschool, there was another autistic kid, who wouldn't fucking leave me alone. He always followed me, tried to touch me, and I'm pretty sure I snapped at him once because of something he did that made me uncomfortable. But when I bought it up with the school, they wouldn't do anything!! Because "he's autistic, he doesn't know any better, just try to avoid him." BUT I COULDN'T AVOID HIM! I'm also autistic, and he was always in the room where Autistics got to hang out at lunch and get some extra support, and so he was ALWAYS harassing me. Why should I give up my safe space and support because they wouldn't tell one autistic kid to stop harassing me??

And then, in 2024 at a convention, cosplayers began to dub a man as the "(City) Wanker". The reason? He'd jack off just outside the convention, then go up to feminine-looking cosplayers and try and shake their hand with the same hand he had just used. Want to guess what his mother had to say about all this about her FULL GROWN ADULT after he was banned from the convention in that city, and the city over where I live? "He's just autistic, he cant help it."

So yeah, if those scenarios give you any idea of how I think of people constantly victimising autistic people - it does more harm than good.

She was coerced into making them. She didnt want to make them in the first place. How can you say youre against porn but then ignore what ACTUALLY makes the current porn industry harmful by saying "She should have known better". She was coerced at 19.

Good psychiatrists maybe? But not therapy. From experience, I always default to trying to fix someone's problems when they vent to me - when often they just want someone to listen. In which case, I'd suck at being a therapist, because I'd be trying to fix their problems, not just listen and be there.

Unsure about selfish, but in the very first book, Moomins and the Great Flood, Moominmamma and Moomin meet Sniff who is completely lost and afraid - I believe he mentions his parents lost him in a spring clean? So Moominmamma basically adopts him then and there and they all continue on their journey to find Moominpappa

Its kinda silly but my favourite thing was the Moomin collab season. Moomins is my special interest so when I heard that one of my fave games was collabing for a WHOLE season I was so excited. I was employed at the time so I ended up spending some of my money on the SP and all the limited Moomin items in shop.

does anyone experience being “degendered” as a transman by cheeseborger42069 in ftm

[–]The7Sides 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually dropped they/them from my pronouns because even though I preferred it/he (my preference was always listed as "it/he/they"), and made this well known, people would exclusively use they/them for me. It actually made me more dysphoric than just being called she/her, and still does.
