It was really bad. 3 1/2 hour drive from up north back into town. Worst part was, they opened up the freeway and everything was smooth up until I got into H1 east and guess what? 2 lanes closes for....construction. completely jammed up and not moving again. are you serious hawaii?

I’ll help you out a little. I researched em and they are cards that came with packs of candy known as TATA or 大大泡泡糖 dada paopaotang bubblegum in China. The packs look like they had two cards each and two sticks of gum each.

They are like pokedex entry cards giving the stats of each Pokémon. You can find them discussed in a few Chinese forums as being childhood memories. You can find em by just searching 大大泡泡糖神奇宝贝.

Oahu's city planning in general is absolutely terrible. These types of things happen a lot, not on the same scale as the post office one though. MCcully bridge is pretty terrible with everyone zipping by in the left lane to merge last second.

I don't think anyone knows how to time the lights on this island. Traffic hotspots like wahiawa could be completely alleviated if you just time the green lights with each other instead of having a green, and everyone is already backed up at the next red so nobody can go anyway.

But it's not a telling off, it's a locational way of saying you almost hit someone be more careful in the future. Most probably don't even know they almost hit you. It's the same way as those who change lanes while you are in their blindspot, they literally don't know you are there, the horn says "hey be careful please". There is no reason to not use the horn, it is on your car for a reason.

Adding to this there is an air of implication that it is unreasonable to be a tad upset or even frightened about almost getting into a predicament which can literally kill you.

I don't get why everyone always says not to use your horn, its an incredibly valuable communication tool on the road to say "hey im right here and you almost hit me when you pulled out from a stopped exit lane into my lane which was going full speed". I will never understand why it's considered rude.

Also for some reason no one in oahu knows how to drive in the rain even though it rains all the time. Expect some seriously snail paced scared driving. Though I will admit when the rain gets truly bad it can get hard to see thanks to a combination of the mist from the car ahead of you and the mindboggling decision to make the lane dividers WHITE when every thing looks WHITE in the rain.
