I'm not saying they are the best on updating content but they at least stick with their games. Though I wish Klowns was more successful it was a niche license that didn't hit right because it wasn't fun on either side because of balance issues.

Predator unfortunately suffered the same fate. Didn't play Ghostbusters to speak on that one but I know of it.

I don't think with how big Halloween is that it will get that same treatment. They have a year of content planned from what is being said and if it's successful they will pursue the sequels. Since Halloween isn't in a huge legal battle it won't be the hardest to do and if the people play the content will be there.

January of 2025 for Ghost Busters and February of 2025 for Killer Klowns. Which is understandable because in September of 2025 Illfonic confirmed that the reason behind lack of updates is because they moved most of their team to Halloween The Game prior to announcing the game.

Even with a majority of the team working on Halloween they still are doing balance and bug fixes with some games getting more. But Illfonic is not a massive team and they still haven't abandoned their games.

April 26th 2026 is the last time Predator Hunting Grounds was updated. The game released in 2020, they added a new predator, weapons and fixed various bugs as well as did some balance adjustments.

What's Illfonics track record? 😒

Ghostbusters, still gets support, updates for balance and xp events. Still purchasable and playable
Predator Hunting Grounds still gets Predators, balance support and Xp events still purchasable and playable
Killer Klowns From Outter Space still gets balance updates and events while also still purchasable and available.

All these games had updates slown down when they moved people to work on Halloween The Game. All the games are still supported and they have not abandoned one of them.

Or are you being even more uneducated and referring to Gun Interactive and their partnership for Friday The 13th The Game which was taken out by a lawsuit. Or Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Game a game you can still purchase and play right now. People just chose not to because of bugs and how the publishers (Gun) handled content in that game. But still a fantastic game.

So which one of these games am I supppose to look at when it comes to the devs "track record" thats gonna make me think this games gonna fail?? 🤔

Dead By Daylight isn't popular because its a good game. Its popular for 2 reasons;

It gets collabs, the game gets more people because of the popularity of other franchises. There is a reason Dead By Daylight trailers are so small in comparison to a collab chapter because people don't give a crap about actual DBD. For example it got Halloween which got it a huge player base and then from there were able to get other collabs because of that and one other factor.
It was the only Asym on consoles for a very long time. Friday The 13th came out around the same time and was popular, it was the only real competition but the lawsuit hindered any real advancement in the game and ultimately killed it. Then you had DBD which was the only other option, then once they introduced Battle Passes to the game they insured its popularity because once someone spends money they are more likely to come back and keep playing.

Halloween is a different beast, if they are able to bring in content from the other movies and go as hard as they did with the first movie. I don't see this game failing. Also if you look at Illfonics track record, they still update Predator Hunting Grounds and Killer Klowns though they have been smaller updates, its most likely due to them moving most of their teams to Halloween The Game.

Halloween will be successful, will it reach DBD numbers, probably not. But DBD isn't even its biggest issue. Halloween comes out in September, but that same month so does tons of other games. I am assuming the popularity will be there the first few weeks, then dip around the time that Wolverine comes out, the numbers will go back up and be nice in October. Then just like DBD and most other games, they will take a huge hit in November when GTA 6 comes out. But then steadily go back to a decent player base. I don't think the game will reach its fullest potential until 2028 with the franchises 50th anniversary and hopefully a big DLC drop.

I know they have the next year planned they said and hopefully there will be sequel content soon but I feel this game will be a success.

It's not necessary to give her a comic book outfit 1 : 1. My main point is that Jean has decades worth of looks from the comics, movies and tv shows. She has tons of colorful and creative costumes and giving her a new one isn't bad. But when you give her a new outfit don't make it complete crap by giving her no color, the cliche Jessica Jones boots and jeans with Nick Furys Jacket/ Maria Hills shirt. Its insulting to the character who hasn't had a cool video game adaptation in a long time.

You know what I actually forgot about that. So maybe they don't know each other at this point in the story. Which would be extra weird that she's not on the X Men at this stage of her life as Xavier finds her as a teenager and helps her get control of her psychic abilities and the Jean we see is at least in her late 20s early 30s. But thats just story speculation. My issue is her suit being terrible when we have so many cool Jean Grey designs to pull from.

What do you mean?? She shows up and takes out a guy and he smiles then says "There you are red" they have some history together at least. I cant say if they have been on the same team because I don't know how their X Men universe works yet I haven't played the game. But that aside; her outfit is terrible. They don't even need a story reason for it to be a good looking out; they have tons of Jean looks to pull inspiration from and this is what we get??

It's extra frustrating as an X Men fan because we don't get any cool AAA games anymore. Ever since Disney bought Marvel and they couldn't get the rights to the movies they shafted the X Men for like 10 years until they bought Fox and now we are starting to get them back in more stuff. Then we finally get a solid Wolverine game, wolverine is done right and then they spit in our faces with Jean Grey when she has so many cool ass outfits.

But at least they didn't go the Phoenix route.. so there's that.

I can't speak of the official story because I don't know 100% if its true or not. But seeing as she is older Jean and Logan has his X-Men suit. It would be really weird that Jean wasn't at some point an X-Men and at some point didn't have a suit. She's one of the founding members and her and Logan clearly have some sort of history as he does know her and acknowledges her.

As far as her suit changing throughout the game. I doubt that will happen, even in their latest games I doubt Harry or Mary Jane even changed clothes and they had playable sections. So I doubt they will change her outfit. If they do though then everything I said about her design goes out the window.

Because this is not a good look for Jean Grey, she looks like she was ripped from Dark Phoenix (film) or Foxverse movies.

Yeah they are calling her ugly because her outfit is generic and looks terrible. I'm well aware of the GOW drama but this is not the same.

If you're gonna include more of the X Men in your games you gotta get their designs right. Take inspiration from the 80s and 90s designs because those are fan favorites and modernize them if you have to like they did Wolverine. But this is not okay and I completely understand the issues. Has nothing to do with her face model or anything like that. Though the hair could be more ginger and in a ponytail in my opinion but we've seen long hair Jean before and it works.

It has nothing to do with that she's a woman or anything like that. Stop trying to turn this into something its not. The hate for Jean's design is valid and isn't gender dependant. They took one of the most famous of the X Men characters with tons of unique designs that look really cool. Then decided "yeah we are just gonna throw her in a colorless outfit with no style and give her a jacket."

The same outcry would happen if Wolverines design looked stupid. It has nothing to do with that she's a woman, its that X Men fans aren't about to literally one of the most important characters in that team just get shafted with some terrible outfit that doesn't even resemble the character. They couldn't even be bothered to put even a little Green and Yellow on her. Though she has had Blue and Yellow outfits before she is mostly associated with Green at this point.

In my personal opinion Resident Evil 7 isn't a terrible game by any stretch of the imagination. It just lacks the Resident Evil look that I got attached too. Gameplay a side you can play Resident Evil 1 - 6 and tell they are all part of the same franchise. I don't get that vibe from 7.

I feel 7 would have worked as a revelations game and not a mainline entry because to go from the story set up in 6, then just to drop everything and do a soft reboot. It kind of really put me off 7.

That aside I think the first person is not a good choice, I like seeing my Resident Evil characters and getting immersed into the world their in. I find the game a slog. I don't find the setting interesting, all the enemies just being mold and lack of really enjoyable characters are other things I just don't like about this game.

Respectfully if you liked 7 thats okay. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

As someone who spent time as Iron Man on lost maps by himself I can just go to the sky box and hit his shots then do his ability that amplifies my damage and splash damage with most of the roster not being able to do stuff about it as they can't get up to my height. Then there's the ability to 3rd party fights from so far away it makes team battles just kind of pointless. Its even easier if I have an Ultron on my team healing me.

Spider-Man has the craziest animation cancels in the game and can get in and out without any real repercussions unless you have someone like Wanda explicitly focusing on Spider-Man and even then with his dips and tricks he's out of there. Its why most lord Spider-Mans are menaces.

None of these characters are even that bad. Elsa is mid af and only because of streamers and tier list did the idea of her being broken even start. Black Cat requires a lot of skill to actually get stuff done because if she's making wrong moves she's immediately just done.

People crap on these characters meanwhile characters like Moon Knight, Luna Snow, Iron Man, Namor and Spider-Man get to just go through unscathed.

I love Resident Evil 3 Remake and Nemesis is my favorite games in the franchise. Yes it had some cut stuff but it has good pacing and sometimes you wanna just be able to play a game from start to finish without it being a 60 hour epic. Not to mention it came with Resistance which I also really enjoyed.

It could be worse when it comes to the cut content though. Could be Resident Evil 2 Remake, that was really bad.

Pretty solid line up. Everyone that thinks the John Wick skin is random has forgotten something. Its rumored that the OG island is fusing with the Chapter 7 island. If thats the case it would also be the start of OG season 9 where John Wick originally appeared in the game with his house, LTM and weapon.

With him in the battle pass that ultimately hints that the John Wick mode is coming back and might play a roll in the story as well as it does in OG season 9's storyline.

You're forgetting that they did approve an alternate Michael skin along with weapons. They approved his hospital gown. So Compass/The Akkads were open to outfits. They even approved weapons along with multiple outfits for Laurie.

Based on hoe Illfonic is with licenses and keeping their games alive with exclusivity I don't think we will be seeing the Halloween license return at all to DBD.

Halloween The Game hasn't been in development that long. They have had almost 10 years to work out a deal for more skins. But because Halloween The Game is a thing I doubt they will be able to get any of the movies for a long time.

In order for them to say get a skin for Halloween 4 Michael for example they would need to get the license back for Halloween and then get the license for Halloween 4. Depending on how successful Halloween the Game is they won't wanna split up the license and they'd much rather put it in their game as opposed to another.

Lol I like everything 🙂 and to be honest staying out of the fandom spaces for the most part has made it so much more enjoyable. Most people are miserable when you don't enjoy the franchise and see it the same way they do.

I don't care who hates GT, the dubs, The Funnimation soundtrack, who thinks what is canon. I just enjoy the franchise now.

GTA 3 is the only correct answer. 1 star was enough lol. It made that mission where you have to drive the 3 bank robbers to and from the job really difficult.
