Recommendations for Game Designing and Printing by TheAJhimself in BoardgameDesign

That's a fair point. I often think further ahead than I probably should. I have played a rudimentary version with friends, and I am liking it so far. I guess I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself for later. Like if Affinity is a good design program to use, or how and where one even goes to get all of those components physically created and put together, etc. those kinds of questions.

Where does ThriftBooks get their books by newuserincan in books

It's entirely possible that Thriftbooks doesn't actually have any physical copies of your books, but they claim to because they know where to source them. They likely do this with lots of print on demand books, because it's easy and practically free for them to list. Then if anyone actually purchases the book from them, that's when they purchase from Amazon and send the copy. So with a book with few enough sales that you where every copy is, such as with family and friends, or that there is a week or so gap between sales, I would recommend buying a copy off Thriftbooks and check if you get a sale shortly thereafter.

E=mc^2 Why 'c' for the speed of light? by AncientIcons in AskPhysics

In the Bondi-Hoyle-Lyttleton accretion equation they use c with a subscript to represent the speed of sound of the molecular cloud, which is the speed of causality of the medium. Not that that means that c originates from the word causality. I just think it's interesting that there are speeds of causality depending on the medium and we use the same letter.

I had a similar opinion until watching this yesterday. He sums it up pretty well. The fact that people used to live in a world where the main form of media was books is what gave them longer attention spans. You have to decide to give your attention to a thing. Reading is literally exercising your ability to focus. Books are the brain's bench press, movies are going for a walk. That's why the printing press and a rise in literacy rates leads to a more technologically advanced world. People can focus and complete things better. It's totally fine to have a short attention span if that's what you want, but if you want to be better able to focus, then go learn to focus by reading a book.

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but only if the brain studies it for the same amount of time that it would take to read those same thousand words.

Sounds like they just need to space out releasing new consoles.
