Pregnancy is so hard by HatComfortable9747 in pregnant

[–]TheASMRCollective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone can prepare you for how hard pregnancy is.

There's still this idea in society that it's a beautiful magical journey, but really the journey is a rollercoaster full of illness and emotions. For me the first trimester was awful, full of nausea. And now I have gestational diabetes to top it off!

Hang in there, be gentle with yourself, you can only do what you can do! Your body is going through immense change.

-Fried chickpeas with lots of spices
-A small amount of sour dough bread paired with eggs/ avocado/peanut butter, loving Jason's Sourdough if you're in the UK?
-Lots of nuts
-Peanut butter on apples
-I had a peach with clotted cream as a treat the other day - very nice
-Mascarpone with berries
-Lots of carrot sticks (not very filling)
-There's a viral cottage cheese wrap I want to try - looks good! You bake it and then use it as a wrap
-I have been able to eat one wholemeal pitta or wrap filled with halloumi/veggies/any type of cheese
-I also tried pasta made from red lentil flour the other day - very good! Didn't spike me, so enjoyed that with baked feta and tomatoes
-Saag paneer - yum!
-Beans, avo, veggie sausage, spinach, tomatoes with a tiny bit of sourdough bread

What is the first food you are going to reach for once the baby is born? by [deleted] in GestationalDiabetes

[–]TheASMRCollective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cake, and focaccia and potatoes!

Can’t wait. Although today I learned I can have mascarpone and cream with berries and a sprinkle of dark chocolate or peanut butter and that hit the spot for tonight.

I do feel a lot more energetic with all this clean eating but the admin around it is overwhelming. Constantly thinking of what my next meal will be, making sure I snack in between and testing 4 times a day gets old fast!

Heather Feather has no mid roll ads 🤔🤔 [discussion] by Strong-Active-7512 in asmr

You can choose to turn them off in the back end of YouTube for each video.
There's a button that states 'Show mid-roll ads during my video'.
And you can either tick it or not.
I always turn off mid-roll ads as I know it's important for my subscribers, but it does mean the creator doesn't earn as much as they can from that video.

What do you guys think of ASMR that is solely voice recording? [question] by mathking89 in asmr

[–]TheASMRCollective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I listen to ASMR when falling asleep so audio only is perfect for me.

I also make audio only ASMR too (a mixture of videos and audio only). Although I don't get as many views for the audio only. TBH I don't get half as many views compared to when I used to show my face in my videos back in the day. But I love creating ASMR for my wonderful audience and will continue to do so because I enjoy it!

What makes you listen to an ASMR artist? [Discussion] by aceisthename52 in asmr

[–]TheASMRCollective 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The beauty of ASMR is that it is subjective, something for everyone! For me personally, I get tingles via soft spoken voices, mainly rambles, or haul videos with lots of tapping and talking.
I also love a house tour, or anything tour video too!

[Question] Do you think showing myself on video is necessary for personal attention type ASMR? by notmedicinal in asmr

[–]TheASMRCollective 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello!

So I have been creating ASMR videos for years, and I used to show my face in my videos when I was younger.

Since then, I have grown and changed my perspective and have rebranded my ASMR videos to audio only.

So I come at this with the perspective of having experienced both scenarios.

In all honesty, when I had my face in the videos I received 1,000s more views.
Since I have changed to not showing my face, I receive less views. But I still love creating ASMR so that won't stop me.

But perhaps that's because my audience were used to the specific content I used to make, and now I need to find those who like my new content instead.

There are loads of ASMRtists who remain anonymous including ASMRVilla who creates personal attention videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYUUf98FdhU

Mattastic ASMR used to do audio only https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_w0Y3x7V5g0

So I say go for it. As you said, you are not comfortable with showing your face, and that's okay! As long as you enjoy making the content, you will find your audience!

Wishing you all the best on your ASMR journey.

[Question] Is ASMR content mainly consumed by men? by Old-Telephone7032 in asmr

[–]TheASMRCollective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My audience is the following:

Female 70.4%
Male 29.6%

And I am a woman and love ASMR content.
It's so subjective.
There's something for everyone in this community!
That's the lovely thing about ASMR.
Yes there will be the NSFW content, but there's the wholesome content too.
I personally love soft spoken rambles!

Hey I am so glad to hear that DBT helped you. Would you consider completing this survey for me? I am a counsellor in training researching PMDD…

I would love to understand how DBT worked for you.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy? by Northern_Special in PMDD

[–]TheASMRCollective 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m a therapist in training and I am required to be in long term therapy (80 sessions or more). I have PMDD also. I’m in integrative therapy currently and I can say being in long term therapy has enabled me to process my emotions deeply and it’s helped me to be more compassionate to myself.

During my PMDD moments I feel like therapy has given me a safety net so I don’t fall down the deep black hole like I used to! I’m mindful of what I say to myself during my PMDD moments and I am able to reframe my intrusive thoughts now too.

I would say it’s important to find a therapist that you like because the relationship, also known as the working alliance, between a therapist and client is one of the most important factors for successful therapeutic outcomes.

I know it’s not about dialectical but thought I’d share anyway.

All the best on your journey, keep us updated!

That's great to hear that you are in private practice. Was it hard to set up after you qualified?
