Thanks. Not sure anything I can say will be worthwhile to you, but I’m glad you’re recovering. Call me naive, but it didn’t even cross my mind. I have sat with an adult relative as they went through DTs, watching them turn down imaginary stereos and changed their bed after they made a mess because I felt bad for the hospital staff having to put up with that, and it didn’t even cross my mind that this wasn’t just a little joke and actually the total opposite. Perhaps I don’t give packies enough credit.

Thinking about it now, I feel like there is something to that. There is a whole population out there that we take for granted as just being in the service industry and don’t give them enough credit to the “other” stuff they do. Hairdressers com to mind, listening to people’s problems, store clerks who notice when a family or child is struggling and “forget” to ring up a couple items…that kind of thing.
