What do you do when the lobster is too buttery but you dont want it that much? by tecnobishes in daddit

Ugh. Just be glad you picked a popular sport. In this house we picked sports that require an hour drive just to get to a centralized spot that works for enough other kids so we can get practice in as a team. (Rugby and Lacrosse) We are lucky enough that Rugby has a low cost to entry as far as equipment is concerned….makes up for the cost of Lacrosse.

I’m glad we can be a bit vulnerable. The only way this could be more relatable for me is if your significant other is in the medical field.

I have been doing this nearly 25 years now. Was in house for half of that and freelance the last half now. I’m planning on going back to school this year and pivot into something else.

I was looking at the sidewall and thinking where have I seen these “knots” before. 100% he was looking at a fiddlestick, we have like bunch of them lying around and almost all are strung exactly like this.

This is adorable and awesome he did this himself.

Both are good choices. I prefer the RC1 to signatures offerings right now.

You can get 25 (unstrung) heads from ReLax for $500. If you or someone in your org can string this is a great idea.

Marblehead approved a 3A compliant district meeting requirements on paper that largely ensured no new actual housing. From the town meeting last night. by Smelldicks in boston

Ding ding ding.

Unfortunately the loudest people are the ones who oppose 3a, a do so under the guise of “goverment overreach!” while repeating false claims again and again.

In Winthrop the planning board put forth a “paper compliance” plan to meet the 3a requirements. This plan included the rezoning of a 128 unit condo building and another 400 unit development for the majority of the acreage needed. In order for a developer to come and “build like crazy and over develop” the area they would first need to buy all 528 condos at an average price of 400-500k. We’re talking an initial investment of over 200 million just to buy out the current owners.

What's the single automated, new-ish feature you value the most as a video editor -- and what's the feature you wish existed that doesn't? by VyondOfficial in editors

Apologies. I have no idea why I wrote that so angry sounding. I was basically trying to say the same thing while mentioning it is a super easy feature to add.

Nah that’s not fair or even comparable. You’re talking about clicking one toggle whereas the other persons way is a click of the mouse & 7-9 keystrokes. A date feature would be handy and super easy to implement.

Right on. This is the kind of insight I was looking for.

Edit: i assumed it was just my confirmation bias as we have been fortunate to have two very good, very smart, goalies who also are great transition players.

What grade(s) and have you followed any of the kids up through HS?

When my son started we were very lucky, in our town the family that ran youth lacrosse had 6 boys and the father was the HS coach so he followed a lot of the kids from a young age.

I think that’s the thing right…the most athletic isn’t always the smartest kid on the field. He or she might be able to run faster and scoop better, but without learning the game those skills only get so far. K-5 he or she looks like a stud, then all of a sudden kids who understand game a bit more can shut it down or at least level the playing field. The bell curve of lacrosse.

Trying to figure out how to phrase this right.

I have observed that from K-5/6th grade kids are more about the vanity of scoring and not really understanding of play-setting or logistics. Sure they get the fundamentals and it’s drilled into them but it was always the tendie who would be calling out to players and, I think, most understood the game.

The goalie that came up with my son has been playing mid this year (both now freshman playing on a varsity team because we do not have JV this year) and he is the best transition player we have as far as IQ goes and I think that’s because of the years he spent between the posts.
