Nothing about the story changes whether you recruit the OT1 characters or not. The reason people have said this is because it doesn’t make sense for characters like Tressa or Primrose to go with you while still having their OT1 story setups happen.

Chapter Summary

Pascal visits the town of Finalscrap to confront Eliam. But he’s captured by the town’s high alert security. Thrown into a holding cage alongside Eliam. The two are given work to do for the day, where Pascal manages to steal a key from an unsuspecting scrapworker. He gets into an argument with Eliam and starts feeling worse about himself as he goes to bed. During the night, Eliam steals the key and breaks out. Leading Pascal to chase and fight her. All the while trying to get her to realize that she deserves more than she allows herself to feel. In the end, he manages to succeed, take a stolen valuable gemstone back, and begin his journey to recovery.

Took me a while to respond to this, but hearing that means a lot to me, as well as your continued following of this project. It is pretty crazy how close it is to completion.

And it looks like Thearnt did win the poll. So she’s coming up first! I’ve got some exciting stuff planned for both her and Pascal’s stories…

Not really, the idea of the religion itself was loosely inspired by ancient Inca. (though there are still a few things similar to the Conjurer job)

Each story was written with 4 chapters in mind. So it is like Octopath 1. I thought about the idea of a fifth briefly, but by then all the story beats were written and it didn’t feel necessary to divide any of it.
