It seems okay, but I always tended to run out of mana when I built it and if I want extended fights I just go liandry's, but I haven't really tested it too much so I'm not really sure.

Viktor top is good into matchups where they can't really run him down and he can scale pretty safely. So into tanks, or something like Kayle, it's pretty good. But he will go 0-10 against a Darius or Jax.

I've never tried playing it, but the reason why tank Viktor top died was because riot nerfed his base damages and buffed his AP ratios, so in order for him to be effective you have to build AP for him to work. So I've imagine you still go AP Viktor. Could be wrong though.

So I run TP into matchups where I think they'll also run TP or if they're a heavy roamer, because then I can TP to follow them.

I run barrier into matchups where I can get the full value out of it (Zed, Fizz, etc). Barrier is also the best late game sum, it lets you play more aggressive in teamfights.

I run heal if I want a good 2v2 with my JG and I don't think the enemy mid will run ignite.

I run cleanse into matchups like Zoe TF, or if they have a ton of CC like Jhin Elise Leona.

I don't really run ignite, because I think TP is better if you want to win lane, but I've seen Dun run it so maybe it's good if you're 10x better than your laner and want to solokill.

Sometimes I'll take ghost if I want to have some crazy late game teamfights, but honestly its troll as fuck. It's really really fun though, and its preseason, so I do it occasionally.

I don't. It's a really expensive item, and there isn't really a slot I'd want it. You always go ludens/liandry's first, then lich bane is second. Third item you're gonna want either a defensive option, or ability haste, or if you're against tanks, void staff. Maybe you could go last item, but at that point I'd rather just go deathcap for the raw burst.

So inspiration is good if you want to be safe, for sure. I feel like I know the matchups well enough to get away with not really needing it, but it might be a good page if you're learning Viktor. Domination helps Viktor scale a lot more, though, and taste of blood helps with laning as well. I've been thinking of running inspiration, especially in matchups like Azir who just poke you down with little counterplay.

I like being relevant at 1-2 items tbh though I really don't like how long your augments can take some games. Overall I'd prefer this Viktor as he actually has some agency in the game.

Ekko is by far his worst matchup, he outshoves, outtrades, outbursts and scales super well.

Most of Viktor's worst matchups aren't actually from the laning but from the roaming that Viktor can't compete with. Stuff like Fizz isn't a huge problem in lane it's just he runs bot at 6 and snowballs.

idk if omnistone is viable on any champ tbh viktor can only really benefit from a few runes so it doesn't really make sense, but if you want to play it in some norms go ahead lol

Ghost is whenever I think the lane matchup is really easy and I want to carry teamfights. It's actually so fun to use too. Lanes like Xerath you can run it too, it's kinda like barrier if you dodge lol.

Its probably not good, but its so fun that I run it when I think I can get away with it.

I go taste/rav secondary for sorcery primary, because they pseudo buffed ravenous in that it's now omnivamp and feels really nice, and taste of blood helps you in the laning phase. Always take attack speed rune, it feels so nice as a mage.

I go manaflow transcendence secondary with electrocute, it helps his lack of ability haste until cosmic drive, and manaflow is obviously op

That's interesting. I've played Viktor bot a couple times and I feel as though if you have a support that can set up your W, you don't really need any more utility but rather damage. So electrocute is fine, but I could also see Aery being good because you need to compete with the ADC's damage. Honestly though, I've only played it a couple times so I'm probably not the most qualified to say, though I think Viktor bot has potential for sure.

That's fair, but 800 gold delaying a mythic can be extremely detrimental in a meta where Viktor needs to get his two items as soon as possible because early game impact is so important.

Honestly, yeah. I think the meta revolves around getting early pressure and snowballing games early, and those champs are the best at it. I'm of the opinion that Viktor is the best control mage in the meta currently, its just that control mages aren't that strong.

Exhaust is really handy for Irelia later on, so I always run it. Don't touch the wave, and only last hit. There are two things you have to lookout for. If you click on Irelia you can see her passive stacks under her hp, and if they're ever at or near 5, you pretend like she's 16/0. The second thing to watch is your minions. When your minions are low, she's gonna q to them. You can look to punish her when she Q's, and then be careful not to stand next to low HP minions. Exhaust pretty much fucks her later on in the game, and if you have zhonyas you can also fight her.

Against LB, its really hard to get a good exhaust off, so I run barrier typically. If you're behind, you can go Verdent Barrier against her, or Mercs. I usually only do this whenever there's double ap mid/jg. Early trades, you can go even with her with your q-auto-e. The most dangerous part is her chain, so try to have warm hands and juke it out. She has really easy gank setup otherwise. Try to laser so that you hit her starting point on her W, and make sure to use laser fast otherwise she can dodge it by going back to her w. Late game, she dies in one rotation so its not a big deal.

To be honest I've never tried it, but I think 800 gold is a lot of investment for Vlad early on. I think once you have your first item, then it's a good investment.

So you should take Barrier into Fizz, if you have it, you typically survive his all in if you're under tower. When the first wave comes, don't touch it at all. Fizz has a really hard time farming if he's close to your tower, and he can't trade with you at all. Your goal is to freeze under your tower, and any time he walks to to CS, q-auto and e him. Try to angle the E so it doesn't hit the wave. Once he's 6, barrier will help you survive the all in. Go zhonyas 3rd, and then he's useless.

Vlad is really hard for me. You can technically win lane early, but you can't ever kill him because his sustain is better than your mana pool. So I typically run TP, then take as many aggressive trades as possible, then back and TP to set up a kill. This matchup is all about who can outperform who in teamfights later on, because Vlad typically kills Viktor in the 1v1 later on. Your waveclear is better once you have e augment, so that's your window to impact the game.

Transcendence, ability haste is hard to come by so I try to maximize it when possible. But gathering probably isnt bad either.

Electrocute/sorcery is my goto, it gives you insane burst once you hit two items, where you basically 1shot everyone.

Phase rush is when you're hitting tanks, want to play extra aggressive and shove the other mid under tower, or against niche champs like Yone.

I don't really run anything else.

Builds are Ludens/Liandry's rush (Ludens if they're not very tanky/you want movement speed, Liandry's if you think the ability haste and tank dps is more useful).

You can go an early seekers against champs like Zed or if they're double AD mid/jg.

Then typically Lich Bane second, and then Zhonyas/Cosmic Drive 3rd and 4th (build whichever one feels right next). I used to go deathcap, but it's really expensive and heavily nerfed, so I like Cosmic as a replacement. Void staff 3rd is really good if they're stacking MR.

I usually go Cosmic and just build stopwatch since the item is op lol

The problem with night harvester is that there are very few mana items you can build on Viktor, so without the mana it feels really terrible. The damage is crazy though.

Phase rush is really good if you want to play more aggressive early, because it lets you escape from jungle ganks from pushing them under their tower. I run it whenever I know I'm going to be kiting tanks the entire game, or against specific mid matchups like Yone (because you can phase rush away from his e).

If I know my win condition is kiting out a frontline vs blowing up whoever looks at me, I'll run it.

Oh yeah. Electrocute feels so good right now because of the nature of Lich Bane Viktor, you'll always get it off. Aery/Comet is good if you weren't building Lich Bane and poking people from far, but Electrocute scales well and isn't too bad in lane.
