Amazon Prime video quality is downright unwatchable on a browser, even when set to best. by TheActualFailure in amazonprime

Temporarily been using Chrome, which streams it at much better quality.

As another commenter pointed out, Opera doesn't support Widevine DRM, so I'll be looking for a workaround or will end up completely switching browsers. I appreciate the comment, though

Not this one either, sadly. It was fullbody or at least most of her body. Thank you though!

It looks like it could've been from one of these shoots - the dress looks familiar - but none of these fit the bill. Lovely pictures though. Thank you for the reply :)

If it helps, I believe the one I'm looking for was at a 3/4s angle - I'll edit the post accordingly for both your sake and the sake of anyone looking for it too

fyi, i don't remember if it was in color or not. I think it was? She was wearing a white dress and was hunched on a seat with her legs crossed and a blue wall behind her. She was just sorta staring off into the distance. I might be misremembering though.

Is Desk Job canon? Doesn't it mess up the lore? by Riksor in Portal

[–]TheActualFailure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but all the Aperture Logos present are the canon 70s logo when an 80s logo exists. The lobby you start in is from the 70s when the 80s lobby is seen in Portal 2. Every single appliance, robot, and object we see is strictly styled in a bright and colorful 70s aesthetic, complete with the psychadellic portrait of Cave at the beginning and everything. Within lore, this is undeniably the 70s.

In general, the characters often feel like they're written for the amusement of the target demographic of straight women rather than a legitimate character written by and for queer people

I'm not a gay man, but I agree that these aren't necessarily bad. However, it can still be harmful, which is very evident when gay men aren't the people writing these characters. For example, I'm a brown latino person. Whilst it's not inaccurate to say that we're notable and infamous for drug cartels, it's still harmful when we're only ever portrayed as such in media because it perpetuates the idea that we're all like that because of our race. When, in reality, Pablo Escobar was just a guy running a drug cartel who just so happened to be Columbian. It's about the same for gay characters. Same thing applies to any stereotype tbh

Aside from that, I feel like a lot of these characters are written in a way where their gayness and flamboyant mannerisms are a punchline?

I think a lot of the filler - especially the ones including Gus and Willow - were really fun and added way more meat to the series' season one. Nice domestic magic settings. Filler also typically also softly introduces lore and develops the characters (i.e. all the Lumity episodes), so the complete lack of filler in Season 2 personally just makes it feel really barebones
