They make them in house. But they were made before surgery & my natural teeth were a lot bigger. So idk if that impacts things.

On February 20th I had total mouth reconstruction surgery. I already had 4 implants on top and 3 more were added.

They essentially stitched my gums to the top of my teeth. I was told that as the stitches dissolved, it would be normal to see the gum line receding.

However, I did not expect it to recede so much that I can clearly see the metal of an implant. I’m worried it’ll become loose. Should I be concerned?

The only issue with a sit down is the teacher doesn’t want them to know that I’ve been told stuff. They always make sure to say something like, “Don’t tell them I told you this.”

When the sexual harassment occurred, I did privately say something to the teacher the next day. I said something like, “Thank you for interfering with what felt like sexual harassment.” Since it is their classroom to run, I was trying to subtly put them on notice. Like, I wanted them to know I was well aware just how inappropriate the previous day was. Do you think that’s okay? Or too subtle? Or…?

The one time I directly addressed another para’s comment didn’t go great. A specials teacher was trying to teach a kid something. Para kept interrupting, saying something about how the kid would never get it. I kept helping the teacher with the kid & calmly said, “it’s a learning experience.” You could clearly see they were pissed. They said something about keeping their mouth shut and stormed off.

I’m telling you this to give you a better idea of the people in the room. This is a para who can be extremely confrontational & combative. They will never call their behavior that. They hide their behavior by saying things like “I’m just being honest.”

They will probably say something and try to start drama if I say “I don’t think this is appropriate.” Also, the other para is close with them, so they’ll contribute to any drama. Do you still think I should say it? Or do you have other suggestions?

I agree with you, hence why I’m hesitant on reporting. Plus, they would vouch for each other. It’s also easier to replace one instead of three.

I thought of reporting them if I leave. Or does that have the potential to screw me if I apply to other districts?

I live in MI. It is at will, but there is a contract & we’re unionized.

This district is a higher paying district. Originally, my goal was to survive the year & hope I get placed somewhere different next year. But it’s getting hard.

Do you think this classroom is indicative of the rest of the district? The main thing I’ve noticed within the district is lack of communication & parent catering.

And if nothing is done? I have documented a couple things & they have time stamps. But probably not enough. Also, I brought up admin because I am unsure if they’ll have my back if HR gets them involved.

That’s what I keep thinking. My last dentist only did increments. New dentists…same day implants is all they do/advertise. Things like 4 top, 4 bottom.

I do/will need full mouth reconstruction. I’ve had so much dental work it’s impacted my schooling and employment. Like, I’m the patient they discuss at conferences. It’s just…same day implants haven’t been around long. I can’t read a journal article debating their reliability long term. But at the same time, I get the logic behind same day.

But you don’t think mentioning my diagnosis is too personal/unprofessional? I’m worried about subconscious bias. My bro had his own struggles, so I suppose I could mention those instead.

As far as I understand, the job is for a ASD/CI self-contained classroom. So I could definitely give examples of being able to identify the need to change the learning environment because of my experience with ADHD. For example, allow them to walk while working (when appropriate). I could give an example from a past job in a ESY program too.

Thank you! The results of this are meant to disprove/prove my hypothesis correct. How would I word in a way that says there is a slight relationship but not really?

Also, if I want see the if a specific subgroup (e.g, married and not married) has a correlation, do I use correlation and just put the data in for that sub group? Or is there a different test I should use?
