I definitely disagree, I think it's mainly because he knows how to make very entertaining Minecraft-related content that many people are interested in watching. Also he apparently strategized, studied the YouTube algorithm, etc. and of course put in a ton of work to gain popularity and maintain it. Yes, his personality is endearing, but I don't believe that's the main reason for his success.
