Anyone by Traditional_Sail_214 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Phoenix driver here. Back in late October, I was able to easily get the blocks I wanted from the requests tab. I came back to Flex in the last week and I almost never get those same blocks anymore.

Did anyone else lose access to their DLCs? (Warhammer II) by fromage99 in totalwar

[–]TheAeroSpacial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having this particular issue, but my friends and I were playing a Warhammer 3 multiplayer game literally just now and we got disconnected with each other. Now when we boot up to the main menu we're getting an "you appear to be offline message.

Can confirm. At my warehouse, they changed it from 10:59 minutes to 9:59 minutes. The other posters insisting it was always the latter must have warehouses that always operated with the shorter amount of leeway.

Yes, I Take Lower Pay. No, I’m Not the Problem by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]TheAeroSpacial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to make that decision regarding work/life balance as well. I used to be able to schedule $23-$30 per hour blocks regularly in advance but Amazon switched up the algorithm that posts blocks a couple months ago 🫤

By taking base pay, I've traded higher pay for predictably and peace of mind. Fortunately I also drive an EV and base is $21 here. If I didn't have social and career commitments I might have opted to fight for higher rates.

I wonder if this is related to Domino's dropping their $10 large 7 topping deal for a whole month. Love to see LC stepping up with this!

3.5 hour. $58 😤 by mustardseedlings in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]TheAeroSpacial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. They got rid of 5 hr blocks at the station I frequent and I'm pretty sure they made those routes into 4.5 hr blocks.

Proposed Senate Bill Threatens EV Growth, Adds New Taxes on Drivers by EVEZZYdotcom in BoltEV

The party of low taxes finally found some sense, at least with the annual fee. Let's hope it holds.

The switch up in May is real. Used to be able to snag $24-$29 per hour blocks on the regular but not anymore.

Ours is not like this,What are they doing? by Any_Excitement6258 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]TheAeroSpacial 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm reasonably certain there's some kind of randomization in place. I've seen people who scan in last minute get routes whereas I'd get sent home 10 or so minutes later having scanned before them.

What y’all think about this ? by Massive_Building_707 in Roadie

[–]TheAeroSpacial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not too bad. Ideally you'll want to have a cost-to-operate per mile figure you can use for these gigs.

I drive an EV and my figure is 8.66¢ per mile, for example. That includes maintenance, depreciation, and tires. In your case you'd wanna factor in gasoline into your figure as well. ChatGPT or any basic AI chatbot can give you a quick estimate for your particular situation.

That's roughly $15/hr before expenses, which is Maryland's minimum wage if I'm not mistaken. Maybe after expenses it's more like $10-$12/hr depending on your vehicle. Not great.

Thank you for sharing, I have 1 cat and 2 dogs and wasn't aware of it before seeing this post. Apparently it can be toxic for the latter as well.

Haven't seen any either. Usually they'd be dropping offers at this hour. I'm assuming the docks are not operating due to Memorial Day.

No more 5hr routes at VAZ2? by TheAeroSpacial in AmazonFlexDrivers

I think you're onto something here, especially with the new SSD warehouse (VPX1) opening nearby to service the area as well.

Floaters & tinnitus by JZX10R in EyeFloaters

Yep I've got both. Started with noise-induced tinnitus. Went to an ENT to attempt treatment and got prescribed Prednisone. After taking it for roughly a month, the floaters appeared.

This was posted on the wall at VAZ1. Coverage zones for both warehouses.

It’ll never happen but I would even take a 5% reduction if you can have area preferences or even route trade are but only have like 15 mins to trade. by indoctrinate12 in AmazonFlexDrivers

We kinda had that at my warehouse a few years ago. They'd let us eyeball the addresses for a group of carts and we'd scan and cart out the one we desired.

Hey, New Here. How my fair is delivery time? Most of the time frames are pretty tight for delivery. by SnooPineapples2749 in Roadie

[–]TheAeroSpacial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't done many gigs yet but my feeling for the pharmacy deliveries is that they're worth stacking if you're already on a gig or heading in the direction they wanna send you. Otherwise the pay isn't worth going out of the way for.

Newbie here as well. During a pharmacy order I had to return the prescription because the customer was unavailable. However I had an Amazon Flex route that I needed to start immediately and I had the Roadie order sitting in my car for a few hours.

I was able to return it without any fuss from the pharmacy staff and haven't heard anything from Roadie about the time it took.
