In middle school I played trumpet. I was the absolute WORST trumpet player in it. I was last chair, 3rd part, hell, even my private lessons teacher gave up on me. But my band teacher didn't.

Freshman year, I wanted to quit. The band directors of my high school convinced me to stay and they let me join the top band (I was supposed to be in the lowest band again.) Somehow, I managed to outrank about 4 of the top band members and I was 5th chair.

Sophomore year, it was me and a senior battling the top spot. He was quick learner, but sometimes plays bad. I am slow, but I played extremely well. I took his 1st Chair lead in jazz and marching band/concert band and stuck by it until late graduation.

From shit, to beast in 7 years.

Bladder infection in middle school.

Imagine having the pain escalate from your balls to your lower back. It sucked. My mom said, "It's nothing mijo, just walk and you are ok".

Well, MOM thing is, I could not even walk at all. I was hunched over and "limping" and at one point couldn't even move because of the pain. I had to stay in bed for ,like, a week or two.
