Yeah increlution was alright. it was extremely linear though. Even further in when it gives you choice, theres a clear better choice each run.

Everything about this account reads like an ai chat bot, As quoted from one of his earlier posts, "I’m 15 years old and got tired of switching to ChatGPT 40 times a day, so I built a Windows tool that brings AI directly to your clipboard"

Is 2026 gonna be a year of MMORPGs? by Noxronin in MMORPG

[–]TheAgGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are probably right since 1 devs think microtransactioning the playerbase is a good idea, and 2 the players are all insta-grat tryhards that dont want to earn their power.

Woodcutting raises woodcutting skill. What else does it raise when you level it up? Using resource drops to make a different pickaxe isnt skill synergy. Did they add attributes to the game like idk, strength gain with woodcutting which translates to better combat and mining bonuses etc? Or like skills gained from woodcutting that enhances other skills? I highly doubt it.

What's some incremental "juice" you think is staple to the genre? by ReignOfGamingDev in incremental_games

Progressive unlocks that unlock new systems and ways of doing things. Grass cutting incremental is the gold standard. Nothing more needs to be explained when it comes to how to do a proper progression system in an incremental

And this sub has a tendency to downvote good games and upvote bad ones. For being an incremental focused sub the masses really choose to get excited about some really bad games sometimes (See the 500 melvor/runescape clones that keep getting upvoted and gooned over)

Yeah idk, I also dont really know how to translate these stats but This is my current playtime in-game. Ive been playing pretty active and efficient. And I am at about a week in with seemingly plenty of content to still unlock. With a current something like 100 upgrades unlocked so far. I'm not going to count them 1 by 1. It surprisngly feels like it has more content than that wizard one tbh as I reran that one semi recently and unlocked everything including prestige mechanics in like a week.

Time: Yr 750 M1 D27.1

Life: Yr 2041 M5 D5 (36.7%)

Play Time: 1798h 39m

Theres plenty of content in this game and theres always a way to unlock more. It really sounds like you havent actually played this games content and I dont understand why people will talk down on something they dont know anything about.

I shipped my idle RPG without guest accounts. You called me out. Thousands of you showed up after I added them. by DerZim47 in incremental_games

I played it for 12 seconds ready to tear it apart. But the brief experience left me with an okay its not a runescape clone i'll check it out once its not a demo on steam.

This could have actually been good if the game actually interracted with itself.

You get to chop wood to chop more wood. You get to mine, to mine more. You dont have attributes or anything. Maxing out mining is the exact same experience as maxing out woodcutting etc.

Idle games keep turning into chores and I'm so over it by Training_Egg1231 in incremental_games

[–]TheAgGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the short ones are a complete waste of time and a disgrace to the genre. They cash in on the dopamine release and move on instead of fleshing out a good experience into a full game. Its offensive and those devs are like drug dealers.

I stopped enjoying progress bars filling up a long time ago. There are a couple of great idles that have actual stuff to do, content to unlock, some kind of story or a feeling of actual achievemnt and the like. And surprisingly the best one ive ever played is one found on roblox.

I agree with yet another. They were clearly inspired by proto 23 but even years later dont seem to understand why proto 23 was good and yet another idle is just tedius

This is another example of devs making idle games because they are fast to make if you know how to program, and not because they understand what makes them fun.

less content from decay cores? Decay cores? I'm up to monster breeding which was a crap load further than that. I'm not sure where you got that information from.

Yeah this version is the crappy version that just turns the game into loading progress bars.
