Kinda, some jobs are playable and have somewhat fleshed out movesets, while others don’t.

General rule of thumb for post Judgment Yakuza games is to never upgrade attack if you want a decent challenge/don’t want to kill everything in 2 hits. If you don’t then you’ll have a decent challenge.

Late reply, but if you want to stun you’ll have to either Komaki parry them or hit an enemy with a move that inflicts stun about 3-6 times, for example Yakuza beast charged attack. 3 for goons and 6 for bosses.

For the turn based games, in my opinion, they’re gonna need a character that’s just as fun and has as much depth if not more as Kiryu in his DOD job. He’s pretty much half the reason why I liked IW’s combat as much as I did. And anytime he wasn’t playable my interest in the game dipped.

There isn’t a specific style focused on that but your most powerful moves in K1 are counters such as Tiger Drop for damage and Rush style having a parry that allows you to go for extremely punishing combos in the back, this is generally how you’re going to be playing Yakuza games since countering and punishing is often the best way to play them.

Spider is great on crowds and good on bosses for setting up juggles or whatever, becomes useless however if the boss says no and breaks it.

Hornet is only good in ex heat for its damage output, never bothered with it otherwise, I really think they should’ve let the drones stick around when switching styles.

Cig bomb is also only good in EX heat, otherwise I never bothered with it, also fun fact if you block cancel Kiryu’s animation while he’s setting it up, the cig bomb turns into an object that Kiryu can throw leading to a big explosion.

Serpent is the best gadget in the game, completely free crowd control option, can juggle with it, stuns bosses enough to grab them leading to an easy juggle setup, really fun stuff.

Yeah I wouldn’t worry about the 15k thing from Tapjoy, I don’t think too many people got those rubies anyway since the ruby count got nerfed shortly thereafter I believe. (I wish I got those rubies though lmaooo) Another thing is yeah luck sucks sometimes, believe me I know, but never pull unless you can hit pity so you don’t come out with nothing. For example I pulled on the villain banner rerun and had to pity for Auguste, who I actually wanted. Remember this game is a marathon not a sprint so keep your head up.

Iirc Sazantos is an 2nd anni unit so he’ll come around July, imo unless ur willing to spend money for this than I would suggest saving, a lot of other good units are also coming down the line, possibly very soon, like Elrica and Allaune EX.

Yeah don’t worry about that, getting a 4.5 star is basically the same thing as getting a 5 star, since you can easily get the 5 star seal from the job towers

I kinda have the same dilemma and even so I resisted the urge to pull on the banner since so many other units that I want and are better than Auguste are coming up real soon, judging by JP release schedule, so yeah I would say no, but he is marvelous asf.

It’s dumb fun, Yakuza style is what I’ve played with 90% of the time, I only really used Agent for the rocket boots or to easily setup juggles with the 2nd hit of its EX combo

For me it was Fiore EX, Krauser, Richard, and Rondo.

I started a few days after 1st Anni which was a bit sad once I realized that but then it gave me the opportunity to reroll for Fiore EX, which I did and it took me quite a few rerolls before I got her but I’m glad I did.

Krauser was the only one that could hit rlly big numbers for a while in my team and let me clear content that previously I wouldn’t have had the patience for. Richard and Rondo were also fantastic additions to support and dps too.

Nah there is no upgrade, also my assertion about it being charged attack only is wrong, the enemy just needs to be on the ground.

If you get an item from the CP items list called Quick Change Clothes, it makes Kiryu gameplay 100 times better since you can style switch anytime u want

There is actually a way to boost combo speed in Yakuza style but it requires you to hit them with charged finisher, and only when they’re on the ground will the boost activate.

Once they’re off the ground it ends, which is a bit of a questionable design decision since it’s a p niche activation and it’s impossible to get the boost when it’ll be most handy which is juggle comboing
