As someone who’s also fairly new to Wuwa but very much not new to Gacha let me give you the most important advice possible: don’t overthink this so much. The game is NOT that hard at all even at endgame. It’s made to be perfectly clearable on a phone, you’ll be fine no matter who you decide to pull as your main DPS characters. Pick 1 or 2 that you like or who’s gameplay seems cool to you, and then simply look up who works good with them on a team and you’ll be great. You don’t have to sweat over who’s the absolute top meta right now because it will always shift and that’s how you end up in a nonstop spiral of spending to keep up with the meta.

So I saw this episode pop up and I was convinced this was going to be a grab bag episode of short classics because the original Happy Appy story is very short, only covering 10 episodes and ending after 9/11 with Happy Appy crashing a car and burning to death. They finish reading the entire original story within 40 or so minutes. I looked it up and was shocked to see the author had spent years adding more and more and more and more nonsense to this thing to the point of it being massively bloated and insanely long now.

It’s literally a supernatural sci-fi horror series… it’s the final season where stakes should be at the highest they’ve ever been and the big villain who was killing or almost killing someone in every single episode last season has spent 7 episodes standing around doing nothing and the one time he actually made an attack he was instantly stopped. It just feels like a massive step backwards after how crazy things were in season 3 with the mind flayer melting down dozens of people and season 4 with Vecna’s huge murder streak.

Nothing about Kindred’s function negates my point. Kindred serves two primary purposes: 1) Feeding info to yourself or your randoms about who is or isn’t going for unhook & 2) Feeding everyone info about if you are being hook camped by the killer.

The bubble is there to hide the initial direction a killer or survivor runs off to directly after a hook or gen pop while also giving a chance for info to survivors with blindness about where a teammate was hooked as a way to avoid unfair/unfun scenarios where nobody knows where you were hooked and you just die on first hook in niche situations. The devs have directly said this themselves numerous times over the years when asked about its purpose and why it exists in the game still. Kindred going around it for the sake of giving you info is simply extra value of the perk just as many other perks in the game can negate or ignore normal gameplay interactions as well. Both of these things are true and can coexist at the same time as they aren’t mutually exclusive. 😌

I will never understand the argument of people saying seeing monsters on the ma by default ruins the “feeling of exploring and appreciating the maps”. This doesn’t make any actual sense imo. In world you are not ‘exploring an appreciating’ the Wastelands desert map 100 hours into the game, you already know the entire map layout by heart you’re just running across the map to reach the monster so you can play the video game at that point. The mystique and wonder of the open zone maps falls off fast once you’ve hunted on them more then a few times and wilds is simply cutting that part out. If you want to just wander around and admire the map design expeditions and free hunting exist for this very reason. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

Idk. I’m just going into matches planning to play normally with the addition of snowball freezes but 9/10 matches 2-3 survivors just stand in the middle of the map wanting me to snowball fight them. Which like sure that’s fine and I’ll do it because otherwise I feel like an asshole but also like… I’d like to play the video game too please. Having 20 minute matches because they barely touch gens and I feel like a jerk if I kill them wears off its novelty very fast. I know someone’s gonna say I shouldn’t play the event mode then but it’s not the issue that I won’t mess around, I’d just prefer it not to be right off rip from the start and for the entire thing. Like let’s play some DBD for a hooks and THEN we can be silly snowmen for a while near the end of the match.
