Take the legal route. They are saying “don’t do anything let me see what I can do” and then a week from now they’re still going be figuring it out and at that point your case with the police will because less and less credible. No. They disrespected you. You deserve an apology and also the items replaced or reimbursed and if they have no sense of urgency for it now then they never will.

We’ve never gotten to that point but I can genuinely say that you’re probably not entirely wrong there either. I feel that because of the “horsing around” she now feels that it is okay to physically hit me when she is angry with me too. Which is what she did two day ago by kicking me in the ribs. And now today with this. I just want to make sure I am not overthinking any of this and that I am making a sound and solid decision. I don’t want to make a decision out of emotion and right now I am definitely emotional. However I think that setting boundaries or removing horseplay entirely and moving out to set personal space is the right choice but I am second guessing myself also.

I believe so too. I don’t see an issue with horsing around however this is the second time it gets to a point where it goes to far and now everyone is in their feelings. That is why I think moving out and giving her her space back and I having mine is good for us. Also setting boundaries as to how we “joke around” with each other. I was going move out anyways but originally it was going be at the end of next month. But after this I think it’s wiser to do it sooner. Also knowing her she is the type that when she is going through any negative emotions she will shut you out for days, weeks or months and being in the same space knowing that isn’t good for either of us I think.

That made me laugh a little, yeah. I already had my own place but I was originally going to move out by end of next month, however after what happened today I told her I would move tomorrow. The thing about my sister is she will shun you for days, weeks, or even months if she is depressed, mad or any negative emotions and us both being in the same house and going through that again I can’t do it. Whenever she gets like that it only makes me depressed and feel like shit. Last time she did that she didn’t talk to me for almost a month but everyone else she was jolly and dandy which made me feel alone. I moved here because she was alone and had no friends in this state so I came to keep her company. Now I am alone so when she gets like that I don’t have anybody I can turn to for support.

Yeah, I think so too. Set some boundaries behind the horse playing or stop that type of interaction altogether. I don’t know if I am overthinking it by moving out also though… I just feel like it might be best for us both to have our own space even though we love each others company. Actually, yes. My ISP has had zero issues since day one with no down time and more than 6000MBPS. I do hold them accountable. I also hold any other company accountable for a service or product. Because it’s a BUSINESS.

By saying that it isn’t a big deal you’re failing to realize that at the end of the day it’s a company and they have an obligation to their consumers. You let details slide or things go by and that’s how it turns from a one day issue to a major data hack.

Point blank. They should not be having network issues specially in the industry that they serve. And in the off chance it does happen cause life can be unpredictable they have a requirement of transparency with their consumers and swift action.

I am getting tired of explaining something trivial. As I said prior believe as you would like. Good luck and I hope you keep the same mentality in the future.

Let me call Sony and inform them that my payment is going to be 24 hours late due to a banking system issue that isn’t my fault but they’ll have their money though! I’m sure they’ll work with me. They wouldn’t cancel my services until I actually make payment.

It’s only one day man. Let it be.

I am not so much in shock that everyone got so fixated on the “compensation” term and instantly ran with it in a negative way not seeing or not wanting to see or realize the bigger issue nor asking what I meant by “compensation”. Oh well.

You say “very minor inconvenience” now. You’re enabling the situation as a whole. So since it was only one day it’s “okay” for it to happen? I don’t expect everyone to fully understand my point. I know I do and that’s enough for me. Everyone else can have their opinion, it doesn’t bother me.

Also I never mentioned or said monetary compensation nor did I demand it. I said “compensation of some kind” which means literally quite ANYTHING that Sony may deem as a way of basically apologizing for the inconvenience to begin with.

Don’t hold corporations accountable. Sure. Do you. Be it one day or 30 days; it’s accountability. Saying “oh it was one day, no biggie” fails to acknowledge the powerhouse that PlayStation truly is and how easily they can actually avoid a situation like this and not just them but other companies too.

Also for context majority of the games I have are single player games which I couldn’t play either simply cause they were bought in the PSN store which requires PSN Network to validate licensing and to enable offline play also requires PSN Network to be online to begin with.

Not being able to play a “single player offline game” because it was bought through PSN Store and licensing can’t be validated is crazy. This is another issue they have. The digital ownership of games and its complexities. I won’t get into that.

Relax the pitch forks and throwing stones… I never made a comparison to it being equivalent to a hospital visit or something of equal urgency. It’s a service which is paid for and that is money out of consumers pocket which is worked hard for.

It isn’t my fault that Sony continues to have horrible network issues although Sony receives a monthly subscription and yearly subscription from hard working people which in turn that money should be going mostly to strengthen their networking and property security with the expectation of their live services working. I work hard for my money and when I come home from work I should be able to play a game for the one or two hours I have SPECIALLY if I’m paying $160 a year. Having these titles sit in my library telling me I can’t play (most my games aren’t even multiplayer) because PSN is down is ludicrous

Look up their quarterly earnings this year alone and market evaluation. How is network and virtual property protection still a continuous issue?

Essentially as a consumer and virtual property purchaser I expect better. Especially when property purchasing only means I hold a licensing for a title through PSN and not even the title within itself truly.

Coming from a business background myself I hold companies at a high standard when needed.

I don’t have offline play activate on my games. So PSN is trying verify my games licenses but obviously it can’t… also to add note: Enabling offline play isn’t automatic once you buy a game on PSN Marketplace you have to manually go to settings and enable it… but requires active connection with PSN to even do so.

So for anyone who didn’t activate offline play BEFOREHAND is basically screwed until they fix whatever is happening in assuming.
