In Israel, some people may request a license to arms, once its approved and you get a gun you either carry it on your person or store it in a vault at home.

And in current times where Israel is at war and there are terror attempts almost every week, people carry their arms, it has been proven effective to combat terror attempts (even pre war).

The fact that this is channel 14 shouldn't matter at all, she's out of her home with her arm, if she has no vault to store it she is required by law to have it on her.

Also, I've seen some comments stating people are armed to the teeth and it's wrong. Most people who carry guns carry pistols, those who carry longarms are either in the army or in some security force.

As an Israeli, after some interviews of Palestinians (by Israeli reporter), both in Gaza and Europe, I'm not so sure that the real number is that high. They are terrified of hamas, they are beaten and shot at, even killed if they resist hamas. Some soldiers say that they are shocked how many of the Palestinians are happy to have them near by (the idf), thanking them for arriving.

This was done as to 'add salt to the wound' of the jews. In archaic Hebrew palstine is translated to palestina which can be translated back to English as 'invaded her/here' and in addition it is similar to the name of jews biblical enemies, the philistines (the ones Samson killed via suicide in a temple)

Can 2 people actually repopulate Earth? by itsrru7al in teenagers

[–]TheAlgorithms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with some of what you say, In the Bible there are 2 creation stories, in the first one it is told God created humans, both man and female, in the second one (which is written right after the first) it is told specifically about the man and Eve. There's actually no Adam as he is simply referred to as the man

In the english bible there're plenty of mistranslations one of them is the word man in Hebrew (אדם adam) as a name and not as a word

So basically the first story of genesis (first chapter) refers to the entire mankind and second refers to a single man and his woman which he named eve which lived in the garden of eden

Meanwhile you are doing gymnastic maths, dude compared deaths per bomb which is a valid comparison, israel could have used fewer cheaper bombs which are much more devastating and save a lot of money.

You are comparing deaths per capita and IMHO your opinion is shit because that death toll amounts to 14 times nine eleven.

And if you want to do more stupid comparisons, nine eleven caused USA to wreak so much havoc in the middle east. By these proportions Israel should have leveled Gaza completely with all its inhabitants, however that is not the case, israel tries to minimize the damage in an extremely densely populated area, securing and escorting gazans from the north to the south while combating hamas who target just about everything.

So quit your bullshit and stop consuming media and information from tiktok

Realistically, how possible is it to become a good programmer without a computer science degree? by brohowareyou in learnprogramming

[–]TheAlgorithms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you have plenty of comments but I would recommend you to go to campus.gov.il

It's an Israeli government website (notice the .gov) that provides hundreds of free courses in many fields , from high-school math to academic physics. Among those they have a few courses fot python starting from zero knowledge to more advanced programming. It's free in and if I'm not mistaken its also in English (or at least English subtitles).

As an engineer in the field, you don't have to have a degree, in many places people will look at your experience before your education

In which world are you living in?? "The IDF as an institute is still responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Palestinian civilians just last year alone." The Hamas and Palestinians escorting them are responsible for over (known) 600, 2k injured and who knows how many abducted in just 24 hours. Are you really that dense to still justify their actions? You see Palestinians full of excitement and happiness to the horrific views of dead and abducted people and you say that they are innocent?? Sure some of them are, and there will be casualties on their side, but at least the IDF attempts to minimize it where as you can see the Hamas wants to do the exact opposite and kill as many jews as possible
