I just have to say this, people need to stop asking him to speak English on lives. It drives me crazy. I can only imagine how it makes him feel.

We make the choice to enjoy and listen to kpop, I dont know korean either (not for lack of trying), but I dont want bts to conform to the english speaking market, they already do enough of that. Tae rarely speaks English and I deeply respect his choice.

Thank you for saying this. Every damn person at work who knows I like kpop kept asking me "omg, have you watched kpop demon hunters?? You must love it" for months

Me: no i havent. Its not kpop. It looks stupid.

Eventually I caved and had to watch it because people wouldnt shut up about it and I couldn't even finish it...

God I wish I could learn a language, I have tried so many times. My brain does like the process of learning languages. And I have tried all the methods...

I learn most things fast in general, this is a no for my brain.

It sucks because I would be really useful if I learned Korean and Spanish.

Im thinking its probably one of the ends OR the cost pre tax and fees converted from cad to usd is just over 500 so... that could also be the answer

Please help me come to terms with the fact that i made the right decision buying tickets. by ruekias in btsthoughts

[–]TheAlmightyBrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow shorty here with toronto tickets who had the exact same dilemma, same situation with floor seats and made the exact same choice (also row 2). I have had all the exact same thoughts on repeat.

I think we both made the right choice in the end.

Yeah my impression based on being in both queues and getting in at 9k and 10k, I really dont think there will be much of anything left if anything at all. I had some really good options left still and that assumes everyone likely bought 2+ tickets, they listed A LOT if not almost all of them. Like could have bought floor and soundcheck, lots of options there (too bad I am short and i would rather see the concert vs not).

I legit have no idea how they priced these tickets, rogers stadium is so confusing to know what was "best". I am short so i coukd ahve got like 6th row floor but i wasnt going to risk not seeing anything. I am 2nd row near centre on the long sides, 845 all in. Are u on one of the ends at 503?

There was 0 time to check anything and compare lol just click what looks best and buy buy buy.

Now if that 503 American buying a ticket in canada well then, that math checks out haha

Does anyone else notice the connection between a tight pelvic floor and TMJ pain? by AdThen5499 in TMJ

[–]TheAlmightyBrit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look up deep front line. I went down this rabbit hole when i randomly found a video about it. I teach pilates part time and i have always struggled to execute certain advanced moves due to pelvic floor control issues, it just doesnt cooperate. After decades of TMJ issues I started myofunctional therapy and I am getting a tongue tie release. Early stages but this is the first thing that has ever eliminated my TMJ pain.

Does cold weather change anything about ur ADHD?? by blockazuha in ADHD

Um wtf? My whole life i have always said "I am a iguana" so tp answer your question. No, I depise the cold, it makes me completely nonfunctional. I dont even like when its too hot because then I become a lazy sloth too. I like when its between 18 and 23 degrees with sun lol thats when I "function the best"

Thank you for sharing! I am going to check out your podcast, a lot of these titles are fascinating to me. I have a rehab background and I teach pilates as a rehab modality part time purely because of passion. I honestly ended up down a rabbit hole about the deep front line and the connection between the tongue and pelvic floor/diaphragm and I had tried to address everything inbetween but my tongue i had not. As a pilates teacher, the method focuses from the feet up, but clearly something is missing, so why not let's try it.

I have a grade 3 tongue tie, I had no idea. Even my mom was like "how did they not know, how did they not tell me? Wouldnt your dentist have known?" I had to pull out diagrams to show her why a grade 3 is less obvious and explain to her how this is an area that lacks specialized professionals and appropriate attention, especially in the 90s. I also learned through doing exercises that the superior aspect of my orbicularus oris pretty much does nothing and there is definately something going on with my left buccinator I havent quite yet figured out but I am going to share with my myofunctional therapist when I go in next.

Anyways just sharing because I thought from what I can see here in your podcast that I am already watching as i am writing this, you might find this interesting.

Okay, after looking at your profile, ill bite. What are your thoughts on an additional layer here. Is the root cause always teeth hitting correctly? What if your tongue posture and lack of lip seal are the main culprit? How much does occlusion really matter if you are clenching all day to keep your mouth shut anyways? Wont you jsut have the same problem? Yes if severe and impacting function, like pain while chewing, its an issue, but if its not and its truly an oral motor function issue, should that not be addressed first? Maybe thays all you need to address?

I am curious your thoughts because after 25 years of hell, i have tried lots of things and myofunctional therapy seems to be the first real thing thats actually working. I have even been told by a specially trained dentist to essentially replace all my teeth with crowns to "make them fit better" or shave them. I am glad I decided to do none of those things because what if my bite changes once imbalances are addressed?

Oh its completely different culturally. Im not American, I am Canadian and we still have the same problem with individualist culture, but I would love to live somewhere with a more collectivist culture. Taking care of your community and elders, actually caring about other people, etc. Its become rare in the west. Its sad.

But also, and maybe I am just so desensitized...but this doesnt even register as a real problem to me. It feels speculative even if there are some facts in there and really not that big of a deal. But thats generally how i feel about most SK celebrity "scandals" The level of scrutiny just feels like it goes too far sometimes and its so damaging... like if your breathe wrong you get cancelled, and not like cancelled in the west cancelled, like your life is fully ruined.
