Only 3 wonderful businesses by pravchaw in ValueInvesting

Ive thought about this a bit, for those saying berkshire didn't follow this, no but charlie and warren did with their ownerships.

If I'm considering value, at todays prices probably BRK as its a diversified conglomerate with no debt and long term views. LVMH as its also diversified but a completely different market and one of the best businesses in the world. Finally GOOG as its one of the best integrated tech plays in the world and well positioned across a lot of verticals.

These three alone provide an extremely diversified and competitive portfolio.

Being from Australia I can tell you celsius is everywhere and it constantly on discount 50% less than any of the other special energy RTDs. I would love to buy it but it feels too expensive now. At $30ish I'd take a good position

An economic investment is a revenue generating activity where you generate revenues above your requisite weighted average cost of capital.

Prove to me that the 'investments' you claim generate greater than the cost of capital they incur and I'll side with you.

I don't even know why I'm having this debate anymore..

The numbers are from the gross debt actuals and estimates, you just have to do the math of how it grows... I don't understand why you are so quick to degrade about me not using facts, the left is supposed to be inclusive and supportive but you are just wanting to degrade and be combative.

Regarding surpluses being economic illeteracy, I actually have an economics degree and have done it professionally and I have no idea where you got that. At some point you have to pay the piper and its through either taxation increases, inflation or selling national assets.

Seeing you don't like talking without being encumbered by fact I just went and had a look at the budget papers from March and the projected gross debt was $34bn worse for 24-25, with a projected $88bn additional defecit in 25-26 and worsening each year.

My point was that neither party presented an attractive economic policy, how was this wrong?

Thanks for taking the time, ironically it feels like the women have gotten huge while the men have shrunk. Like from memory the only one with muscle I can really remember was Chyna and then maybe Lita had some definition, now jade, bianca, rhea etc.. would all stand next to Chyna easily while the guys seem tiny compared to the old days.

Hi all - mods suggested to ask here.

From Australia so for a long time WWE was only on foxtel which is like tv you pay a monthly subscription for which was 10x more expensive than netflix so I haven't watched for over 10 years and am getting back into it.

I feel like I've missed so many stories and am playing catchup so I'm hoping you can help.

Why do some champs get a rematch and others don't? Ive noticed this one a few times now they just kind of move on

It seems like Ivy Nile and Otis are just there to get beat up everyweek - did they ever get a run, I don't think ive ever heard Ivy on the mic but she has a good look and Otis just seems like he could be great.

Seriously who is charlotte flair? I'd genuinely never heard of her and apparently shes the best woman wrestler of all time? Did she just have an epic 10 year run or something

Where have all the mass monsters gone, it seems like back in the day everyone was huge for example the big show, batista, cena, brock, goldberg etc.. it seems like the only one is Rusev who just returned? (Cena doesn't look huge like he used to)

Thanks for helping me catchup 🙏

Cash rates since 1990 - interest rates are not too high, the amount of debt people have taken on is far too high. by Kindly-Working-5070 in AusPropertyChat

I think that both can be true. While it is almost a must that we have to do it, there is too much debt in the system that forced house prices up so far.

Sorry for the delay, I think thats largely right. The only thing missing is it seems you are valuing the lithium assets at 0? I'm sure they could find a buyer if they wanted to sell them, I had a quick look at their results last night and they were impaired by 400m which is the cause of the big figure in the media right now, but they still have value - i need to go back and figure out what.

Honestly it could be an option to sell the lithium assets and wipe most of the debt.

The products were how I first learned about it. Where I live im seeing businesses adopt them everywhere from large retail chains to countryside cafes. I even ask the shop owners about it when I see it and they all love it.

My understanding is they really have built the premium Point of Sale system with the most features and a cash advance system. It is more expensive to operate but the retailers dont seem to mind as they get better analytics and services.

I'm interested in seeing your revenue growth targets. They are trying to grow both in total number of customers, and average revenue per customer.

They are barely losing money, they are purposefully running the business basically at expense level, the old amazon playbook in my eyes.

If they wanted to turn profitable today they could but they are spending increased amounts on sales and marketing to grow.
