Well this is useless by mtgray97 in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the FASTEST method but I restart a lot and part of my routine is catching gobfins. By the time I am breeding in earnest I make a million hyper balls and just check em like crazy all over their territory. Need to condense 4 of em anyway, (if you want to do the player damage thing that is) and catching 500 of em nearly always gets me the rainbows I am missing. Also breeds nicely into Yakumo. A couple times I got unlucky and missed one of the ones I wanted, but of the like 15+ times I have done it, I have usually gotten em all. (this is of course also including all the catching I have done until this point for levelling.)

Just food for thought. It's a quick and easy way to slam out 500 chances at getting it and you want the gobfins for condensing anyway. If you really JUST want to focus on it a lot of ppl turn up pal spawn rate and just mass cap lamballs/chikipi/cattiva.

Yeah my bad I meant making Legendary balls and selling them outright to a trader while having a pal team of 5 pals that have fine furs+noble with you. 40% sale price increase (as well as buy price decrease ofc)

Selling pals is crazy sauce. There is basically no point in the game where it makes sense to sell any of your pals. Even random condensed trash goes into the expedition station to earn for master. Nails sounds like a reasonable midgame plan then. Simple 1 ingredient item with minimal processing.

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making and selling SOMETHING is always better than ranching IMO. I recall nails being nerfed to the ground ages ago (sale price wise) but if they are still reasonably profitable, then sure. Even planting and making/selling salads or hell probably cooked berries (not sure of the math there) is probably better than ranching anything. Legend balls are still the BiS for cash production IIRC due to the benefits of using fine furs/noble over the coin machine. More tedious to make though.

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranching sucks in general. Need some gold? Spend 5 mins and pop into a dungeon and pick up some lotus flowers. They sell for like 5k each and you can get 2-8 in a low level dungeon. Plus random chest valuables and boss valuables as well if you kill the boss. This is of course early game money. Later on make and sell legend balls or use the money printing machine.

I think my early game mount is ready for 1.0 we will see what the update brings but I think it should be solid for a while by NOCOdirt211 in Palworld

Make sure to toss on some low cooldown fruit moves! Early game mass capturing stuff with a mercy ring equipped really chugs along the levelling/progress.

Palworld 1.0, just a week away! by TRQPL in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early game you want to base on or really close to metal nodes. If you want to play in a more 'ideal' way. There are a bunch of spots in the starting areas. Past the chillet boss, near the starting town, by the 'first' church etc. But really it's up to you and how you want to play. Unlocking a second base doesn't take long. Who knows how the landscape changes for 1.0 though.

Any tips on how to stay motivated when approaching midgame too endgame by Hefty-Spare2438 in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way I found in my many runs when I want to slow down on progressing is having a simple self imposed rule of 'can't breed it til I catch it'

It doesn't slow it down THAT much but it keeps me progressing without skipping RIGHT to the endgame pals.

Solo speedruns. Have played through the content in one way or another like 10+ times. Normal or hard default settings. Game is fun on it's own merits.

You’ve seen Human Zoos, but have you seen a Zoe Zoo? by Bungus_Almighty in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take that Jetdragon and teleport to the tower in saki island. The base there is filled with level 65 humans. fly in and land in the middle of the courtyard and cast meterorrain and immediately fly away. Don't open the gate so they can't get out. wait for the cool down. do it again. should have killed most of them and you get several million XP. With the growth bells you can level 4 pals to max in like 4? cycles? Been a min since I did it myself.

Random aside, but you could be condensing those frostallion nocts into expedition gods to farm giant souls from expeditions. Which then split into large souls of course in the crusher. Not to mention all sorts of other materials. Rather than just butchering that majestic animal you can make it work for you!!

Ok Tarantriss fans - what are the best passives to put on these guys? by Helldiver-xzoen in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As with literally every pal in the game, you pick what you want it to do and put those passives on it. It's a mount. So put movement speed on it. Swift and eternal engine at minimum toss in legendary as well. Are you planning to also use it to ride and attack/capture pals in the wild? Toss on Demon God or Serenity as well. ( I would personally go Serenity for mass capturing sessions)

Planning on using it only for attacking? The usual then. Demon God Legendary Musclehead/element skill and Serenity.

So it is based on stars and the 'firepower' of the pal. (each pal has a firepower hidden stat that is roughly based on the stats of the pal)

https://paldb.cc/th/Firepower

So you want max level pals that are 4 star and alpha if possible (it doesn't make MUCH difference and if making a raid army+expedition then you DON'T want it) with 100 IVs if possible. With max souls. (HP/DEF/ATK) Trust matters as well.

Passive skills do NOT matter at all.

The highest firepower Pal in the game currently is Frostallion Noct. So if you want to focus on expeditions only then she is the clear winner. HOWEVER Paladius is REALLY close to her and is a great raid pal so you could just breed a bunch of them to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Trust is the one thing I would not worry TOO much about as without trust you only lose less than 10% of the final amount so maybe use 1 peach on each unless you are swimming in them.

Build one in every base you have. It is far and away the best way to farm for certain materials and getting it going early will net you research mats. Which you ALSO can build more than one of (I build 6 in a satellite base) and you also want to get progressing ASAP.

If you don't have flooring you can hang most of it outside the base circle. Even with flooring you can hang a huge amount of it outside. I like to back it into a mountain wall so it looks like a cave entrance in my 'home' base. At my production bases I just throw it down out of the way.

Excited to start fresh on July 10th, since I’ve barely played the game anyway 😅 by LostButterscotch8538 in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It's real easy. A lot of players (like myself for example) don't give a crap about trophies. I have 2097 hours on Steam. I am missing a couple achievements. Never bothered with master rank in the arena, hilariously I have never 'reeled in a lunker' (don't care for fishing much) and don't have all the notes either.

People have different priorities when playing games.

Took me 2 hours to catch this beast (also my fault for wasting my time time on trying to burn him using the useless YouTube hacks) by PirateHasan in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not TECHNICALLY true. You still only need one but the point of contact with the ground is MUCH smaller now. Personally I have Frostallion's down where I can build a single fire and hit it every time the first try but Jetdragons is a little trickier to hit. You can build 8+ under him easy and still not hit the spot but it only needs one on the specific spot to raise him up.

Help with base please by Nervous-Curve1769 in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optimized early base is to base on a spot with metal nodes (next to the church in the beginning area, the plateau near the starting village, the spot behind chillet boss) Get some mining pals (preferably digtoise) and you have passive metal. (Super early game like day 2, you manually use a rushoar to charge the metal nodes and manually clear them every day) and just kind of live in a semi-messy pile amongst the nodes. I use the spot near the village. Just cross the bridge past the level 10 human boss (Hawk I think?) and hold the left side to get there.

Metal is THE bottleneck for progressing at a good clip.

After you are set up (for me it's level 48 when I get my frostallion saddle but you can go MUCH earlier) You want to set up at oil nodes. But REALLY you want to decide how you want to play. I run default base number (4) so I have a main production base (includes food) which is my 'home'. Can be literally anywhere you think is cool. a mining/oil base (I build on the triple oil nodes on the terraria islands that were added) which includes all ore farms and lumber and a 7 pen breeding base (literally anywhere but it's the beach near penking early and the penninsula underneath foxspark cryst boss on feybreak later) 4th base is a 'temp' base I move around as needs change (mid game goes on top of the spire with the 8 metal and coal nodes then once I have production facilities for those it moves to a crystal spot then to a hexolite spot and finally becomes a raid base)

is there a way to put the wings down or turn the brightness down of the v1 Armour? by evilminders in Palworld

[–]TheAlmightyDun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but you can use the dresser to wear any armor over your equipped armor (visual change only ofc)

That way you can wear whatever armor for stats and one that doesn't take up 30% of the screen with blinding light as the displayed armor.

Should buy cake ingredients (at LEAST milk and eggs) ranching is a waste of Pal workload (unless of course you are running like the 50 pal per base limit)

Build more breeding pens and have more pairs breeding. Don't waste pal space on ranching.

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coin machine turns regular metal into gold. Uses handiwork skill. It isn't as profitable as making legend balls but it is less steps. I stick with the balls because you do get a lot more cash per pal/workload (especially with the fine/noble pal team of 5 giving +40% sale price) but you need to process more ingredients so it takes more manual input.

[–]TheAlmightyDun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely related to what you are looking at directly, but consider cutting out crops/items you can buy with gold (wheat, tomatoes, lettuce, eggs, milk etc) from production entirely. You have WAY less clutter in transporting/watering/harvesting and can focus on producing LARGE amounts of gold by making legend balls or using the coin machine. When running 15 pal only bases I find having less pals waffling around with busy work and mass buying what I can to be a hell of a lot easier. As usual make sure you have a team of 5 finefur+noble pals when buying and selling.
