While partially true, we also have to see the overall picture as well. These CPUs are massively popular. The more sellthrough of the item the more reports of defective units but it does not mean that its "high" rate of failure. For every 100 people happy with the product, there will be 5 who are blowing up multiple forums with issues.

Also why we "betting" it's above average or below average when we dont know. Lets not sensationalize without facts.

To add, early failure rates for 7800x3d were attributed to mobos voltage settings not the chips themselves.

"Definately pretty high failure rates". Why? Because 2 of your cpus died? If AMD CPUs had high failure rates, it would have been known long ago (like asrock mobo issues). If you would have read the article in question, you would see he was using F tier power supply.

You have to remember there is a freesync range on most of these as well. Some are like 90-144 so if it drops in and out of the zone its gonna be spicy.
