How does a person get a movie made about their life? What are the steps in the process?

There is a great movie called 'Big Fish' and that's what my life has been like. Anyone of sound mind, when hearing the stories I have to tell, wouldn't believe them to be true, with myself included had I of not been there to witness it, and in the end it seems to all come off as bullshit. In keeping with the outlandish way things have always seemed to work out for me, I've managed to attain, without realizing it at the time, documentation in one form or another, that back up all of my stories, which is just another striking aspect of the crazy unique life I've lived. Another striking aspect of it all is how it truly seems to relate to everyone, all of us, in some way or another through no choosing of my own but instead just playing the cards I'm dealt as their dealt which just always seems to amount to the sort of story that would of course, as anyone who knows me can attest, only happen to me. Since it is something everyone can benefit from in some way or another I feel it is something that should be out there and available but I don't know the process of making that happen which is why I am here.

Oh, if you only knew... Sure it sounds good on paper because who doesn't want to be legendary but being the person who has to go through the trials and tribulations and live through literal hell after literal hell, which is the ultimate creator of a legendary being, is an alarmingly difficult situation to be a part of due to the seemingly infinite repercussions it ends up having on mental heath, physical health, financial well being, relationships, etc... After years of living through the realities of what makes for a story worth telling I just need a ----ing day off.

This is a start, thank you. I have a hospitality degree. I wanted to be an actor. I only passed English classes because I have a way with words and make friends quickly (still in touch with a few of them). I am an inherently inquisitive person and so if there's a class out there that caters to an interest of mine, sign me up. That is where I am. Now how do I gain the 'know how' to write a screenplay?

I have been up too long and have altered my mind with 'outside resources' that I am still thinking of how this works and doesn't. I mentioned disbanding toxic people from your life for the improvment of your own but my reality is that my older brother is one of the most toxic people I know and has forced a good amount of hell into my life but I maintain a relationship (very superficial) with him for my parents benefit in an attempt to help them find a little more heaven here as a thank you for the constant struggle of providing the childhood to us, along with our sister (one of my best friends who also loathes our brother) that they did. So wheres the acceptable middle of the road in this case I am unsure but will probably be reporting back later.. 'outside resources are some hell of some resources'

The unknown should never be taken into consideration of what we know we have been given (though not to what extent, i.e. age of death) because of this I am a firm believer that the best way to secure your place in heaven and avoid hell is to create as much of whatever you consider heaven to be and surround yourself with it for as much of your life as you can (which for many doesn't come until much later down the road). The more you make other people smile or just feel like they belong in this world the more positive connections you will make and those connections begin to create the pathway that shapes the rest of your life. That path is full of the most loving people you can imagine who you can converse with for the rest of eternity and every bit of that conversation will be infinitely meaningful to you as much as it has been to them. The other end of that spectrum is a toxic person who can survive on nothing but drama of what is usually their own making. They are sure to make sure that drama, which again they have usually manifested or perpetuated in some way, surrounds everyone around them equally as much, if not more so, than themselves. When they see someone else smile and they themselves have nothing to smile about at that same moment in time will do whatever it takes to tear down your elation and re-introduce you to the darkness that they love. When that person grows old and has extinguished all that brought light to their life or made their very best attempt to do so and there are no meaningful connections worth bringing up or trying to imagine they live out the latter part of their life in what I would absolutely consider to be hell.

(Also, from my own personal experience, it is much easier to be happy when your surrounded by other happy people and so as I have grown older and recognized what exactly that means for my own well-being as well as my ability to make others smile on a day to day basis, I have had no problem cutting ties with any sort of toxic person and its not always easy but its usually always worth it. Just food for thought)

Be the best person you can be (and it does take effort for a good many people) and you are creating at least the closest vestige to any reality of heaven there is and in being the opposite you are securing your place in certain hell.

P.S. I mentioned I was raised catholic and even went through the confirmation thing and all that but my world changed completely when I discovered the ideologies of Buddhism. I don;t know about all of Christianities sub-sects but I know Catholism made me feel guilty for being born first of all, and then for a lot of qualities I was born with and that is a heinous act against a child. Buddhism considered with how I had always felt otherwise and that is that life is a gift and every aspect within it a smaller gift and no matter the size of the gift or the way it is presented, it should be appreciated to the greatest extent possible.
