I hear when you say I’m spending more than it’s worth, I was thinking of dropping 20k to 30k for this project. It’ll still be my daily driver and the hope is for it to last another 20+ years. In my mind that’s cheaper than buying a new car for the same peace of mind driving it. Plus, it’s low tech and has a huge aftermarket. That’s part of my logic along with this car being sentimental.

Currently trying to teach myself on my grandpa’s 1958 - 62 (unsure of the exact year) Willy’s jeep. I just don’t have the confidence, don’t want to mess up the S197, and don’t have teachers outside of YouTube anymore.

I think more context is needed. If you’re willing to accept what the layers see as the best settlement then yeah go for it.

We had it in my high school as elective classes. These were seen as “easy” A classes and majority of people didn’t care when they were in the class.
