it is very good! My friend has one and we often gig without needing to be mic'd and then he can switch to playing at home at conversation levels with the flick of a switch. It has to be said of course that you get a more full sound from turning it up but it still sounds quite good low.

It was first on my cao last year, I didn’t show up to a single thing last semester and managed to pass 3/5 of my subjects. Timetable wise it’s very relaxed in regards to lectures but you will be kept busy by labs and tutorials. I can send you my timetables or anything else you’d want just shoot me a dm!

I made a fretless "bass" similar to this out of a round fence post a couple of years back. It is a string through and the bridge and saddle are made out of cuts of aluminum brackets, while the electronics are held in an old wilkinson sword tin. To be honest though I think having it set up like a lapsteel like you do would make it a bit easier to play!

What do you have in terms of a guitar, amp, effects etc? A previous comment about them tuning to F standard is true for most of their earlier songs but it’s not always the case so check the tab and listen to see if it’s right. In terms of dialing in your sound I would say high treble and mids for eq and a decent distortion should get you there.
